It is performing research with the aim to generate a database of canonical forms of diagonal <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin_square">Latin Squares</a> order 10 (having orthogonal diagonal Latin squares).</p> 
<p>ODLK1 is a distributed computing project using the <a href="https://boinc.berkeley.edu/">BOINC platform</a> to exchange work-units and results with internet connected computers.</p>

Other applications of Latin Squares are design of agronomic research experiments, error correcting codes and board games [<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latin_square">1</a>].</p>
<p>Since last weekend ODLK1 has been included as 27th whitelisted project on the <a href="http://gridcoin.us/">Gridcoin</a> network. Due to the fact that Gridcoin earnings are divided over all projects, the 26 other projects will now receive 1/27 less magnitude, resulting in the 3.5% reduction of earnings per project.</p>
<p>ODLK1 is a CPU-only project and can be executed on systems supporting Windows, Linux and FreeBSD (both 32-bit and 64-bits).</p>
