The Blockchain Doesn't Lie & Adding Value to Steemit.com
There's one thing that many users don't realize and that is that the blockchain records the history of all your post and comment interactions including edits.

@steemcleaners recently left a comment on a recent post titled [What Is a Silver Certificate Dollar Worth? "I Have One" !!!](https://steemit.com/money/@arcaneinfo/what-is-a-silver-certificate-dollar-worth-i-have-one) citing plagiarism.

An edit was made to add the source to the post here at block number [4,794,650.](https://steemd.com/tx/9efa6e6be419ecb1d8aa94f463c9e9c543baae07)

A reply was made to @steemcleaners here at block number [4,794,679](https://steemd.com/tx/da1ce78f5eca256d2ce543dc8f6b77b70f138feb) stating: 
>	"I cited source and anytime I use material I cite source please feel free to look at my previous post nothing but sources, go troll someone else please damn, its hard enough to get votes, what you want me to make nothing ever????"

Normally, I'd have some sympathy with the contributor's comment about the difficulty in getting votes but I can't drudge up any for those trying to turn the tables and play the injured party.  

This isn't the first contributor I've come across trying to hide their tracks so to speak. 

My advice? Own up to your mistake and fix it. The blockchain will tell the story, you can't change that.

I always wondered how to view pre-edits on steemd.  I also noticed an update while using steemd today that removed much of the old content from view.  Is there still ways to view this content?

Yes, it's pretty easy.  You go to https://steemd.com/@{user name}
Look for {user} authored a post ..  On the right side you'll see a hex code, something like 3e7b8cfa
Click on this and you'll see that version of the post.  This works for comments too.

There's something very comforting about having a record of activity. I wish there were a blockchain recording the conversations I have with my kids! Especially the ones where they agree to certain rules they conveniently forget about later. :)
