Well, I spent the morning PUSHING cars around. First I pushed my Monte Carlo Z34 forward about 10 feet since it didn't want to start and I couldn't find the jumper cables. 

Then I managed to push the Camaro out. Spent an hour checking hoses, vacuum lines, and belts until my dad showed up with some jumper cables. He helped me push the Camaro another 5 feet and after a few false starts, she did start.

"It's just heating up everything." LOL. It's heating up the oil that has leaked out of the valve cover. I think I am going to have to replace that gasket. 

The battery has to be replaced, it won't hold a charge. Thursday or Friday the hood lifts will be in. I'll replace the battery, the air filter, and various hoses that are dry rotted.  The belts look ok. I'll probably get around to replacing them after it gets on the road.

The guy at the tire shop was great. I got the two front tires for $120 mounted.  We were making small talk and he asked me what kind of car they were going on. I told him about the Camaro and that I was trying to get it running. It took him a minute to figure out what to say. He finially settled for, "Most women I know wouldn't even try." 


When things go right something is bound to go wrong. After getting my Monte Carlo started I added some power steering fluid to the reservoir.  The minor leak I had turned into a spray!  On the bright side, I now know where the leak is.
