 What a lovely Friday, fellas! β€οΈ On a Friday, I am usually very drained from the week's crazy schedule but at the same time excited that the weekend is just around the corner; finally, we can all rest, recharge, and spend time with ourselves and the people that matter most to us. Not just that, in the Philippines it's going to be a long weekend since Monday, August 30, 2021, is our *National Heroes Day*. The smell of the long weekend is just sweet, isn't it? And speaking of the long weekend, I'm now down to the last part of my **Biliran Trip** which we did on a long weekend in August two years ago. That also means almost two years into this health crisis and two years of no travel outside Cebu. π ___ <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> ----- In [Part 1]((https://peakd.com/hive-163772/@patsitivity/sambawan-island---im-drunk-i-love-you)), we have explored Sambawan Island and in [Part 2](https://peakd.com/hive-163772/@patsitivity/biliran-island-part-2-falls-be-with-you), we hopped from one waterfall to another. And on today's featured adventure, we'll be exploring another two (2) islands that Biliran is known for. Are you down for another adventure? Let's get this started! π ___ ##### Day 2 - Epilogue As a thrill-seeker, I get my dose of excitement even before reaching the day's destination. The view, whether it's the turquoise water or the endless mountain range, sends chills to my spine, filling it with serenity and bliss. From Ulan-ulan Falls, we headed to [Agta Beach Resort](https://agtabeachresort.com/) in Almeria, Biliran. We spent our last night here. On our way to the resort, we passed by mountain ranges, far-stretched green fields full of unharvested crops. To many, this is something ordinary, nothing to be amazed about. But to me, this is divine.  You have no idea how crazy my friends are.π We look pretty normal in these photos but believe me, we had a wild concert at the back of Sean's car with all the dirty dancing and shouting as if we're in the middle of Araneta Coliseum for our sold-out concert! We sang Miley Cyrus, Kathy Perry, and Taylor Swift's songs until our lungs gave up. I might post our little car concert soon!  We reached Agta Beach Resort before sundown. They have this massive pool perfect for swimming laps. The caretaker/lifeguard told us that the pool will be closed by 6 PM. So we borrowed their amazingly huge floater and made the most out of the remaining time.  Just a reminder, this is still Day 2, and if you can remember we had been moving from one place into another and just when you thought we were already tired, nope! I told you our energy factory is up and running 24/7. π Every pool should have a floater for adults because it adds up to the fun! No one's injured during the activities we had in the pool. I could remember how much my stomach ached from laughing the entire time we were playing in the floater. Ahhh, good old times! β€οΈ <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> Time's up! They closed the biggest pool. We left the huge rectangular pool and went to the smaller one facing the beach so we can watch the heavenly view of the sun as it said its final goodbye to the world that day.  This may have been two years ago but I can clearly remember how beautiful a moment like this could be. Watching the sunsets with the friends that truly matter to you.  I managed to take a snap of the shore of Agta Beach Resort before the entire surrounding was engulfed by total darkness.  After watching the sunset, we took turns in using the comfort room to finally take a bath and dry ourselves. Then we headed into the Resort's restaurant to order our dinner. Afterwhich, we went back to our room and watched *Hello, Love, Goodbye*. It was of those trending movies back in 2019. I already watched the movie but I was willing to watch it again for the sake of our friendship. Haha! π But as you can see, I fell asleep in the middle of the movie and my friends can't help but document this momentous event!π I still love them even after doing this. Haha! Eventually, everyone fell asleep to replenish our energy for the last day in Biliran.  ___ ##### Day 3 - Last day, last hurray Our contact person from Sambawan Island is still the same person who will take us on Day 3's Island Hopping adventure. This time though they brought a different boat which is comparatively smaller than the one we used in Sambawan. There's no room to question so without further ado, we sailed to our first destination.  ----- <center><b>HIGATANGAN ISLAND, BILIRAN</b></center><center><sub><b>Hunger strikes in the middle of the ocean π«</b></sub></center> ____  To start with, it was a gloomy day. Mr. Sun's there but too shy to fully show itself. The wind's gush was a warning that the weather will be turning bad any minute. It was August, the rainy season. the typhoon season. Nothing new for us living here in the Philippines. The weather didn't upset us. What got into our nerves was the fact that it was already past 10 AM and we haven't had breakfast and there's no way we're getting any food any time soon. We were expecting we could buy food on the island that's why we came unprepared. The boatmen warned us not to buy and eat anything from the island. They didn't tell us why but we took their advice.  As far as I can remember, there were only a few tourists that morning in Higatangan. And although the weather wasn't on our side, Higatangan didn't fail to amaze me with its long stretch of sandbar facing the western part of Biliran.  At some point, the other tourists left and we had the entire sandbar to ourselves. No unwanted noise whatsoever, just the calm breeze of the ocean and the sound of crashing waves. "Perfect, perfect!" I told myself.  At this point, the hunger may have reached our brains but we're focused to make the most out of our last day. So we dipped in the inviting waters of Hinatangan, took underwater photos and, John even took an aerial photo of us using his drone (unfortunately, we couldn't retrieve it).π  Our boat might be smaller this time but its design enabled us to sit on the edge and plunged our feet into the water while we were traversing to our next destination. Cool, right? We're all smiles here but trust me, we were already hungry beyond words. <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> ----- <center><b>DALUTAN ISLAND, BILIRAN</b></center><center><sub><b>Good Samaritans are everywhere β€οΈ</b></sub></center> ____  Dalutan Island is our last stop for this 3-day Biliran Trip. There's an area where we snorkelled but there was nothing extremely interesting about it so we moved to the other side of the island where the charming shoreline resides. <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> The shoreline might not be composed of the whitest sand but, nonetheless, it was pretty decent.  At this point the hunger was almost unbearable, so we shared the leftover Pancit Guisado (from our dinner). The boatman saw how hungry we were and offered a few pieces of bread and biscuits. We were hesitant to eat what Kuya offered but when he told us that they already had their breakfast and the goodies are just for snacks, we ate them all before Kuya could even change his mind. Haha! π  ___ The next moment, we found ourselves in Jollibee in Naval, Biliran eating our Supermeals because, at past 12 noon, it'd be our first meal. π  After lunch, we drove back to Ormoc City where we'd get on the next schedule of fast craft to reach Cebu. The three (3) days spent with my Bogo Family was nothing short of fantastic. I'd be keeping these hilarious memories we made on these days until the day my memory fades away. Last photo op before we part ways.π This is not our last encounter Biliran, I promise I'LL SEA YOU AGAIN! π  ____ And that's it! Woooooooooooow! I just couldn't believe that for the first time in my life, and a time I never thought will happen in my lifetime, I finally finished writing about one of my memorable travels. This feeling is new to me and I'd probably get used to this but it might take time. For now, I'm convinced that I finally found the right platform to tell more stories. I am truly delighted to share my travel stories in this community. It gives me time to relive the emotions when I was travelling to the places I've mentioned. In fact, these days are the best time to reminisce about things we could just freely do without worries before things turned upside down. And I couldn't help but be grateful to everyone for joining me in this journey.
