Esto puede sonar un poco trillado “El empoderamiento de la Mujer en los Negocios”, pero es que mucho se habla de este tema, lo leemos en todos lados pero la verdad es que su significado está sujeto al lector y su percepción al respecto.

Desde que nací puedo decir que he conformado equipos de mujeres, en mi infancia y juventud fue a nivel deportivo, fútbol, natación, nado sincronizado, patinaje de velocidad, Kickingball y Voleibol, la comunicación y el trabajo en equipo fue el aprendizaje del momento. Luego en mis 30 he compartido negocios con varias mujeres, integrar una comunidad de mujeres emprendedoras, con actitudes y aptitudes muy diferentes no sólo requiere comunicación y trabajo en equipo, también empatía, amor, carácter, determinación y escucha mucha escucha.

¿Y qué es eso de empoderar?

Sinónimos de esta palabra son: dar poder, hacer poderoso, o conceder poder.

Y eso no es lo que se quiere cuando hablamos del empoderamiento de la mujer en los negocios.

Cuando hablamos de empoderar se pretende es ayudar a todas las mujeres que se encuentren en una situación de desventaja, a tener la fuerza y confianza necesarias para desarrollar sus capacidades y estrategias profesionales y personales.

Queremos que la presencia de la mujer sea notable en todas las áreas empresariales y de negocios, potenciando el reconocimiento y protagonismo en todas sus decisiones.

Y no, por el hecho de ser mujer, ¡no!

Sino por ser una persona competente con la formación adecuada para el objetivo que se trate.

¿Has visto la película de Cenicienta, Blancanieves o la Bella Durmiente?

Todass… ¿Verdad?

La mujer ha sido siempre el pilar fundamental para formar una familia, cuidar los hijos y levantar un hogar. Eso nos posiciona como seres fuertes, estrategas y responsables.

Somos las protagonistas de nuestras vidas.

Cada una de nosotras, con nuestras acciones y decisiones filmamos nuestras películas de Disney.

La diferencia con Cenicienta, Blancanieves o La Bella Durmiente es que no tenemos por qué ser el eslabón débil, ni a quienes tengan que venir a rescatar o proteger.

Podemos ser las reinas de nuestras casas y fuera de ellas sentirnos como tales.

Da igual que tengas una formación universitaria con Máster, o un puesto de mando, o ni siquiera un puesto de trabajo.

Cuando hablamos del empoderamiento de la mujer en los negocios, su verdadero significado es que nos agarremos con fuerza a nuestro deseo de alcanzar y lograr nuestro propósito. Que confiemos en nosotras mismas, forjemos el carácter y nos determinemos a por ello.

Que derribemos techo de cristal, ese tope que nos encontramos o nos ponemos, y que nos hace retroceder, frenar e incluso parar.

Sea el propósito que sea. Desde la que quiere ser ejecutiva hasta la que se siente plenamente realizada siendo ama de casa.

No dejemos de caminar con pasos firmes, cabeza alta y seguridad al 200%.

Synonyms for this word are: to empower, to make powerful, or to grant power.

And that is not what is meant when we talk about empowering women in business.

When we talk about empowerment, we want to help all women who are in a disadvantaged situation to have the strength and confidence to develop their professional and personal skills and strategies.

We want the presence of women in all business and entrepreneurial areas to be notable, promoting recognition and protagonism in all their decisions.

And not for the fact of being a woman, no!

But for being a competent person with the appropriate training for the objective in question.

Have you seen the movie Cinderella, Snow White or Sleeping Beauty?
All of them... Right?
Women have always been the fundamental pillar to form a family, take care of children and raise a home. That positions us as strong, strategists and responsible beings.

We are the protagonists of our lives.

Each one of us, with our actions and decisions, film our Disney movies.
The difference with Cinderella, Snow White or Sleeping Beauty is that we do not have to be the weak link, nor the ones who have to be rescued or protected.

We can be the queens of our homes and outside of them feel like queens.
It doesn't matter if you have a university education with a Master's degree, or a management position, or even a job.

When we talk about the empowerment of women in business, its true meaning is that we hold tightly to our desire to reach and achieve our purpose. That we trust ourselves, build character and be determined to go for it.

That we break down the famous glass ceiling, that ceiling that we find or put on ourselves, and that makes us go backwards, slow down and even stop.

Whatever the purpose. From the one who wants to be an executive to the one who feels fully realized being a housewife.
