Unfortunately, we have already normalized the situation so much that I believe that not even seeing their neighbors die from the complications of the disease, people will pay attention to biological or epidemiological security measures, I suppose that the pandemic will continue to be a "selection factor" for a time. I am referring to the idea of ​​the Theory of Evolution and its factors of natural selection, that includes diseases, which modify the environmental conditions and produce differential reproduction, with which some genetic lineages are eliminated (they die) and occasionally the increased reproduction of specimens that carry some non-lethal mutation that gives them some advantage in the new environment... Anyway, we'll see what comes out of all this.<br><br>
Reviewing the ephemeris, I find an interesting date: Today, in 1962, Telstar 1, the first civil artificial commercial telecommunications satellite, was launched into orbit. The launch was made by NASA, but the satellite itself belonged to the AT&T company, and was manufactured in 1960 by John Robinson Pierce, of the Bell Telephone Laboratories in the United States. Positioning itself in its intended orbit, the first commercial transmission across the Atlantic of television signals, telephone calls, telegraph, data, telephoto and facsimile signals was achieved. Un domingo muy tranquilo por mi lado del mundo, al menos por lo que es mi casa, hubo lluvias durante el día y algunas fallas eléctricas de unas horas, pero ya es de noche y tengo electricidad y señal de Internet, eso mara que no ha sido un día tan malo. Es el día 849 desde el viernes de hace años que se anunció la #cuarentena en #Venezuela por la #pandemia de #Covid19, vi en las noticias a una colega que se quejaba de que mucha gente está irrespetando las normas de seguridad y que si bien ya tenemos a bastante gente vacunada y hay cierta idea de como tratar la enfermedad, pues el nivel de contagio no ha disminuido y por donde ella vive ya se han producido dos nuevas muertes en lo que va de mes.<br><br>
Por desgracia, ya hemos normalizado tanto la situación, que creo que ni viendo morir a sus vecinos por las complicaciones de la enfermedad, la gente hará caso de las medidas de seguridad biológica o epidemiológica, supongo que la pandemia seguirá siendo un "factor de selección" durante un tiempo. Me refiero a la idea de la Teoría de la Evolución y sus factores de selección natural, eso incluye enfermedades, que modifican las condiciones ambientales y producen una reproducción diferencial, con lo que se elimina algunos linajes genéticos (mueren) y se puede encontrar ocasionalmente el incremento de reproducción de especímenes que portan alguna mutación no letal que les da alguna ventaja en el nuevo ambiente... En fin, ya veremos que sale de todo esto.<br><br>
