The date is celebrated from an initiative of the English organization 'Rabbit Charity', whose purpose was to sensitize and educate people about the #protection and care of domestic and wild #rabbits, due to the threats that this species faces due to human action.<br><br>
Personally, I found that I had not thought much about this, in addition to the fact that it is thanks to be finding out about this event that this #species is in danger of #extinction, as declared in 2019 by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.<br><br>
Being such a gentle #animal and really very tender, I was a little surprised that it was in #danger of extinction, but knowing what it had to do with the reduction of its natural habitats due to their destruction, resource competition, indiscriminate hunting and other things, besides that those that are domestic and are raised do not have it better either, since their uses, in addition to being raised for their meat and skin, can also be used as specimens for medical and pharmacological tests that if they describe them to you they would sound like torture from nightmares.<br><br>

La fecha se celebra a partir de una iniciativa de la organización inglesa 'Rabbit Charity', cuyo fin era sensibilizar y concienciar a las personas acerca de la protección y cuidado de los conejos domésticos y salvajes, por las amenazas que afronta esta especie debido a la acción humana.<br><br>
En lo personal, encontré que no había pensado mucho sobre esto, además de que es gracias estar averiguando sobre esta efeméride que esta especie se encuentra en peligro de extinción, según lo declarado en el año 2019 por la Unión Internacional para la Conservación de la Naturaleza.<br><br>
Siendo un animal tan apacible y realmente muy tierno, me sorprendí un poco de que estuviera en peligro de extinción, pero al saber qué tenía que ver con la reducción de sus espacios habitables naturales por destrucción de los mismos, competencia de recursos, caza indiscriminada y otras cosas, además que los que son domésticos y se crían tampoco la tienen mejor, pues sus usos, además de ser criados por su carne y su piel, se les puede emplear también como especímenes para pruebas médicas y farmacológicas que si te las describen te sonarían como torturas sacadas de unas pesadillas.<br><br>
En fin, que tengas un feliz día del conejo y si tienes uno de #mascota, entonces que sea doble felicidad.<br>+++
