A new Thursday in the month, day 741 since the announcement of the #quarantine in #Venezuela due to the #covid19 #pandemic, at this point I wonder if it makes sense to continue with this count, it may not matter and simply all this keeping track makes no sense. Usually, I go out this day of the week to buy some things, but today I decided to do those shopping tomorrow, I guess it has to vary from time to time.<br><br>
I check the ephemeris to see what thing in #history stands out today, and I find that there are several interesting things, but that it is possible to intertwine them, at least some of them, around a common thing, let's see how it turns out: Today is the International Day for the Right to the Truth in relation to Serious Violations of Human Rights and the Dignity of Victims. After this long name of the date, what we have is a commemoration that tries to remind us of the terrible events of history and that we try to avoid their repetition, in addition to inciting us to combat the violation of human rights today. Considering the situation of the #War in Ukraine and the things that are evidenced by the testimonies of civilians who evacuate the conflict zones, today's date is really relevant. Even more so when they remind me that today marks a month since the beginning of the invasion of #Russia against #Ukraine, a military action that was apparently calculated as part of a Blitzkrieg, following the old Nazi style, but really Putin miscalculated, and the Ukrainian nation has shown itself to be more resilient and tenacious than expected.<br><br>
In Venezuela, it also makes sense to remember this date, because it happens that there is a very historical thing, the current government is the first and only currently investigated in #South America for crimes against humanity, committed against opponents and the civilian population that protested the bad quality of life and the progressive loss of any hope or possibility of economic and social improvement. Here, several #Human #Rights have been violated, and it is not something from a short time ago.<br><br>
That brings me to the second thing for this blog, Today is the anniversary of the abolition of slavery in Venezuela (1854), but we have just come out of a discussion about the salary remuneration of the public sector workers and the results are appalling, you see , in this country the State is the main employer of labor, what we would call the Employer of the majority of formal workers, but it happens that we have several years in which the wages and salaries that are earned do not allow covering the minimum needs of survival of a family, in truth that they are not enough, according to the last calculation that has been made, due to inflation, mismanagement and ineptitude in economic policies, as well as the systematic destruction of the productive apparatus by officials of the government, a worker would need to cover the Basic Basket (unit of goods, products and services of monthly consumption by an average family) about 300 Minimum Wages... as you can imagine, that is an impossible amount, so some economists make a bad joke saying that in the time of #slavery at least the boss was in charge of the #slaves being able to eat, because it was cheaper feed them than starve them and buy others later. At present, the government of #Socialism of the 21st Century subjects its employees to a kind of labor slavery, knowing full well that what they pay from wages is not enough to eat or pay for transportation to go to work.<br ><br>
One last thing for the blog in this review of history would be: Today is World #Tuberculosis Day. This date commemorates the discovery in 1882 of the bacteria responsible for the disease: mycobacterium tuberculosis. Its discoverer, Robert Koch, and for this reason he is also often called Koch's Bacillus, was a very important discovery for combating diseases, in addition to reinforcing microbial theories about the origin of diseases, which today reminds me of the anti-vaccine movements and those who claim that the epidemics we suffer are pure fantasy, part of a conspiracy of reptilians from outer space and other similar things... seriously, one never ceases to be surprised.<br><br>
Bringing the date to Venezuela, it happens that #Tuberculosis is considered a disease associated with poor living conditions and poverty, here it was rare to have a focus of this disease that developed a few decades ago, but today, this disease is present in prisons, border towns and indigenous populations... it is an example of the decline of the health and healthcare system, reaching the point where the government does not seem to care about guaranteeing people's human right to health and life either, since He prefers to close the epidemiology and statistics office than allow the number of cases to be publicly known and how the situation is evolving. They simply refuse to do anything to improve the situation and seem to enjoy knowing that, every day, hundreds of Venezuelans are in serious danger of dying from a disease that could be medically treated.<br><br>
As you can see, today I'm in an acid mood, anyway, at least the electrical service hasn't been so bad, we still don't have water through the pipes, the garbage collection service hasn't come by the house for too long ... nothing points to things getting better and one has to accept reality as it is so as not to fall into crazy and null fantasies that, by some strange miracle, things will get better in the near future. Un nuevo jueves en el mes, día 741 desde el anuncio de la #cuarentena en #Venezuela por la #pandemia de #covid19, ya a estas alturas me cuestiono si tiene sentido seguir con este conteo, puede que no importe y simplemente todo esto de llevar la cuenta no tenga sentido. Usualmente, salgo este día de la semana para comprar algunas cosas, pero hoy decidí hacer esas compras mañana, supongo que hay que variar de vez en cuando.<br><br>
Reviso en las efemérides a ver que cosa de la #historia resalta hoy, y me encuentro con que hay varias cosas interesantes, pero que es posible entrelazarlas, por lo menos algunas de ellas, en torno a una cosa común, veamos que tal queda: Hoy es el Día Internacional del Derecho a la Verdad en relación con Violaciones Graves de los Derechos Humanos y de la Dignidad de las Víctimas. Tras este largo nombre de la fecha, lo que tenemos es una conmemoración que procura que recordemos los eventos terribles de la historia y que se procure evitar que los mismos se repitan, además de incitar a combatir la violación de los derechos humanos en la actualidad. Considerando la situación de la Guerra en Ucrania y las cosas que se evidencian por parte de los testimonios de los civiles que evacuan las zonas de conflicto, de verdad que la fecha de hoy tiene relevancia. Más aún cuando me recuerdan que hoy se cumple un mes desde el inicio de la invasión de #Rusia contra #Ucrania, una acción bélica que al parecer se calculó como parte de una Guerra Relámpago, siguiendo el viejo estilo nazi, pero de verdad que a Putin le salió mal el cálculo y la nación ucraniana ha mostrado ser más resistente y tenaz de lo que se esperaban.<br><br>
En Venezuela también tiene sentido recordar esta fecha, pues sucede que hay una cosa bien histórica, el gobierno actual es el primero y único investigado en la actualidad en Sudamérica por delitos de lesa humanidad, cometidos contra opositores y población civil que protestaba por la mala calidad de vida y la perdida progresiva de cualquier esperanza o posibilidad de mejoría económica y social. Acá, varios #DerechosHumanos han sido vulnerados y no es algo de hace poco tiempo.<br><br>
Eso me lleva a la segunda cosa para esta bitácora, Hoy es aniversario de la abolición de la esclavitud en Venezuela (1854), pero acabamos de salir de una discusión sobre la renumeración salarial del sector de trabajadores públicos y los resultados son espantosos, veras, en este país el Estado es el principal empleador de mano de obra, lo que llamaríamos el Patrono de la mayoría de los trabajadores formales, pero sucede que tenemos varios años en que el salario y los sueldos que se devengan no permiten cubrir las necesidades mínimas de supervivencia de una familia, en verdad que no alcanzan, según el último calculo que se ha hecho, debido a la inflación, a los malos manejos y a la ineptitud en las políticas económicas, así como la destrucción sistemática del aparato productivo por parte de funcionarios del gobierno, un trabajador necesitaría para cubrir la Canasta Básica (unidad de bienes, producots y servicios de consumo mensual por parte de una familia promedio) unos 300 Salarios Mínimos... como puedes imaginar, eso es un monto imposible, así que algunos economistas hacen un chiste malo diciendo que en la época de la #esclavitud por lo menos el patrono se encargaba de que los #esclavos pudieran comer, pues le era mas barato alimentarlos que matarlos de hambre y comprar otros luego. En la actualidad, el gobierno del #Socialismo del Siglo XXI, somete a una especie de esclavitud laboral a sus empleados, sabiendo perfectamente que lo que cancelan de salarios no alcanza ni para comer ni para poder pagar el trasporte para ir a trabajar.<br><br>
Una útima cosa para la bitácora en esto de revisar la historia sería: Hoy es el Día Mundial de la Tuberculosis. En esta fecha se conmemora el descubrimiento en 1882 de la bacteria responsable de la enfermedad: mycobacterium tuberculosis. Su descubridor su Robert Koch y por ello también se el suele llamar Bacilo de Koch, fue un descubrimientos muy importante para el combate de las enfermedades, además de reforzar las teorias microbianas sobre el origen de enfermedades, cosa que en la actualidad me hace recordar los movivientos ante-vacunas y los que aseguran que las epidemias que sufrimos son pura fantasía, parte de una cospiración de los reptilianos del espacio exterior y otras cosas semejantes... en serio, uno nunca deja de sorprenderse.<br><br>
Llevando la fecha a Venezuela, sucede que la #Tuberculosis se considera una enfermedad asociada a malas condiciones de vida y pobreza, acá era raro tener un foco de esa enfermedad que se desarrollara hace unas décadas, pero en la actualidad, esa enfermedad está presente en cárceles, poblaciones fronterizas y poblaciones indígenas... es una muestra de la decadencia del sistema de salud y de atención sanitaria, llegando al caso de que al gobierno tampoco parece importarle garantizar el derecho humano a la salud y la vida de las personas, pues prefiere cerrar la oficina de epidemiología y de estadística que permitir que se sepa públicamente la cantidad de casos que hay y como evoluciona la situación. Simplemente, se niegan a hacer algo para mejorar la situación y parece que disfrutan sabiendo que, día a día, cientos de venezolanos corren severo peligro de morir por una enfermedad que podría tratarse médicamente.<br><br>
Como puedes ver, hoy estoy de un estado de humor ácido, en fin, que por lo menos el servicio eléctrico no ha estado tan mal, seguimos sin agua por las tuberías, el servicio de recolección de basura tiene demasiado tiempo sin venir por la casa... nada apunta a que las cosas mejoren y a uno le toca aceptar la realidad tal como está para no caer en fantasías locas y nulas de que, por algún milagro extraño, las cosas fueran a mejorar en el futuro cercano. En fin, te deseo que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer en otra oportunidad.
