# Reliable sources
Due to my own nature and my education, especially in high school, I have become very judiciary person. Especially when it comes to big historical issues. The reason for that is, there are so many sources, and therefor one has to try to weed out the truth. Which is in my opinion utopian, but I always give it a try.

The matter of climate change is a very hard one, because it already is thaught in schools to very small children, while in the meanwhile we are just at the beginning of the science involving this topic. So that bothers me somewhat.

## What do I know about climate change?

In my opinion very little, and I think if you ask a lot of (independent) scientists, they will answer the question likewise. The fact of the matter is, climate is not constant, it has changed thousands of times in the history of this earth, and it probably will in the future. **So, the million dollar question is, is man made climate change real or not?** In my opinion, it is, but only to a certain extent. And why do I think that? Well, I have sifted through the total nonsense the internet in 99 % of the time is. And found a few sources, that in my humble opinion are independant, and therefor trusthworthy. One of these sources is using a very distinct way of research, called "Open source". That way James Corbett has a very wide range of data to use, and he can double and triple check what he writes and speaks about in his documentaries.

# James Corbett about climate gate

When I stumbled upon one of the videos about the climate change debate by The Corbett Report, I was baffled. In particular I am talking about this video below:

This video shows how data is used and misused by the mainstream media and the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change). And that is really alarming if you ask me. Way more alarming than climate change in itself. Data should be given correctly and not be fed steroïds to make them more "apocalyptic". Misleading the ordinary people in this subject has been done from the beginning and the source of these actions comes from media,politics and big corporations. And should scare us. Does that mean climate change is not real? No, but it sure means that people need to think it is worse than it really is. Why?

## Why are we misled?

Again, here I follow @corbettreport due to his very meticulous research. The reason why we are misled has to be found in a corner one wouldn't expect. To the contrary, the movement behind the climate agenda is what most people think of as its biggest enemy! And that is "Big oil" and the corporate world. Yes, that is right, and if you really think about it, it makes sense. I am not going to explain it completely here, but you can find a complete documentary about that on the website of Corbett, [Corbett Report](www.corbettreport.com).

Influence Map, a website that tracks money flow in all possible areas also has found that the narrative and direction of the climate change movement has as a biggest sponsor... Big oil.

That is a staggering number.

# Why

That is the question I asked myself too at first, but there are many reasons.
**First** of all, by exaggerating global warming, they buy themselves time. It looks contradictory, but it isn't. By making the ordinary people scared, they can make them believe it is normal that they are taxed for driving a diesel engine car, but not the boats that transport the fuel. The attention has shifted to every day use of fossil fuels, and that is not a coincidence. Because on the other hand, big oil is also lobbying incredibly to hold big taxations and obligations to them back. Hiding in plain sight.
**Second**, when data is confusing, people are split into two movements, believers and non-believers, and that is exactly what they want. A sense of doubt on everything, which in return hold big changes back.
**Third**, in the meanwhile, these same firms are investing big in renewables and setting up what direction the future needs to go to. Disturbing, but the truth, big oil is deciding now if we will drive electric, hydrogen or hybrid cars withing 10 years. At least, they are trying their very best to do that.

# Conclusion

Is climate change real? Sure it is, but in my opinion, we have no clue to what extent humans are causing it. And as things are going right now, it doesn't look like we will now any soon.

What can we do about it? We can only hope, politicians stand up that are willing to not take the bribe of big oil, and really change things at the bigger level. Because, let's be honest, a taxation that is paid for driving a diesel engine, doesn't change a thing about the pollution it creates, unless something structurally good is done with the money. If the boats, planes and coal plants aren't tackled, all ordinary Joe does, is just a drop on a hot plate.
