“No me esperes en medio del frío”, 
dijiste mientras de mí te alejabas,
mientras tu cuerpo atravesaba el río
minutos antes, juraste  me amabas.

De tí, queda la mirada de luceros
de tí, el terciopelo de tus manos.
Tus lentas pisadas en los senderos 
con  promesas de muchos veranos.

De tí, recordaré aquel mar sagrado
las estrechas calles que visitamos;
secó en mi pecho tu pelo mojado,
tu cuerpo tremulante besado. 

De tus palabras, en el aire dormido,
tus promesas junto a mi juramento
con preguntas hasta el infinito
con mil palabras que se llevó el viento.

De tu nombre, este amor inasible
de tu cuerpo, la fiebre vespertina
debajo mi piel, tu rostro apacible
perfumado con la brisa marina.

En un beso te conjugo mil veces.
No sé si eres verso, carne o idea,
de río o de mar brindas los peces;
de piedras eres, sublime Galatea.

De las orillas donde muere el río
añoro tu sal, tu pubis ardiente,
“No me esperes en medio del frío”,
oí, cuando te llevó  la corriente.

you said as you walked away from me,
as your body crossed the river
minutes before you swore you loved me.

Of you, the gaze of stars remains
Of you, the velvet of your hands
Your slow footsteps on the paths 
With promises of many summers.

Of you, I will remember that sacred sea
The narrow streets we visited,
dried on my chest your wet hair,
your trembling body kissed. 

Of your words, in the sleeping air,
your promises beside my oath
with questions to infinity
with a thousand words carried away by the wind.

Of your name, this elusive love
of your body, the evening fever
under my skin, your peaceful face
perfumed with the sea breeze.

In a kiss I conjure you a thousand times
I don't know if you are verse, flesh or idea.
From river or sea you bring the fish.
You are stone, sublime Galatea.


From the banks where the river dies
I remember your salt, your burning pubis,
"Don't wait for me in the cold."
I heard, when the current carried you away.
