Jujutsu Kaisen

With the final Bleach Arc having started, which I saw in a post from Stairway2Heaven. I quickly watched the first 5 episodes, and then it was kinda blegh now have to wait a week for new ones.

A quick search for Bleach style anime, yielded one that stood out.

Scanning the description, basically the word curses stood out and I started watching.

So far so good. There seems to be a lot that is very similar to Naruto but the fighting and monsters are more Bleach.

For one the main dude has one of the strongest evils in him and serves as a vessel, and secondly from where I am in the <a href="https://9anime.to/watch/jujutsu-kaisen.32n8/ep-1">24 part series</a> , it one ally of Yuji Itadori (the main) has a similar role as Sasuke from Naturo where he is potentially the next ultimate.

Although Yuji in Kaisen is the vessel and only person that can really hold the power inside, it seems like eventually that evil will be gunning it somehow for the ally. Anyway that is just from a bit they had in one episode after a particularly heavy battle.

Overrall it is a good show, I like the power progression and don't mind the politics because unlike in normal TV politics here is actually good for the plot.

Things like House of Cards and The Good Wife crap just makes a person want to puke at how pathetic people are. In anime for the most part you know they are going to get served so we tolerate all the red tape.

With that said, there is a leader who trains Yuji in Kaisen and himself is one of the current strongest "Jujutsu Sorcerers" , as they are called.

The thing with him is that you don't actually know if he is really a good guy. For one he is planning to take down the establishment but does not hide it. However whether it is for him to then rise above and use army of students he trains in another way; we don't know.

The progression is also very good. I think it is because there are only 24 Episodes in this so not a lot of time to muck about with bullshit filler episodes like Bleach. Although the new Bleach will move just as quick as they do not intend to have it be some 100 episode thing.

Basically for some kickass action each episode and an interesting enough story to keep you wondering. Jujutsu Kaisen is pretty good and satisfies the want for extra powerful but not boring characters.

I used to watch some Manga when I was in College...many, many years ago...in Japanese! I did not understand much - I only watch because my roommate was Japanese but did enjoy watching. I'm so out of touch! Maybe I should give it a try again.

Subtitles would have been nice but my roommate got the VHS Tapes direct from Japan - so no subtitles for me! 😭

Does he watch things like John Wick, and general actions with a bit more blood? Mainly blood spattering when there is violence but some sad topics like transfiguring humans and such, depends on the kid really. There is a dub version though and I don't recall swearing so that probably okish else you might wanna start with like Bleach or Full Metal Alchemist, also mainly violence in those with slight dirty themes at times. !PIZZA

No problem with the swearing but the sad stuff may not be okay. He's a switched on kid and in touch with his feelings. Don't want to desensitize him / or upset him in fact.
