With two days to go until the end of the contest, I think I should get going with my idea. I already mentioned the contest and for some reason I get nervous, so I'll just write this entry as if it were a simple post to avoid screw ups(I already screwed up).

God, if I had an unlimited budget to create a video game in its entirety, I wouldn't know where to start. There is technology I don't know about and I barely know about 3d design and programming.

Despite being a noob, I have a lot of resources, so obviously I would hire professionals, developers, designers and buy a good sofa (totally unnecessary fact).

In the world there are millions of people creating ideas to revolutionize the world of video games, the simple fact of innovating is quite complicated, so I will only rely on my tastes, my opinions, my experiences, I will create my perfect game.

Something that I have always thought since I was a child is the extreme limitation that exist in video games, this limitation that makes it difficult to let your imagination fly in a game, basically almost every old game is programmed to follow a linear path. With my unlimited resources I would break all that.

We start the game, it tells us how to walk, jump, run, all those things we already knew just by picking up the controller. Let's say we find ourselves in an abandoned hospital, full of glass, broken pipes, syringes and scalpels scattered on the floor. It would be great to have control of everything, leave the linear. In this type of game we always have to find a weapon, whether it's a knife, a gun, fire extinguisher, it's always something common. I would do away with all that, let the player be free to choose his weapon.

 If the player wants to pick up glass from the floor to defend themselves, great, obviously their actions will have consequences, the player will inflict less damage by simply having picked up a piece of glass, being subject to glass shattering and other things that are more in line with reality. I'm pretty sure that in most games there are such scenarios, with objects that could be used as a weapon if the game allowed it(Obviously it would take more time and money to develop such a game).

That's one of the most important things I would implement in a game, extreme freedom, something more suited to reality. If we want to break a pipe to use a piece of pipe as a weapon, why not?

All that would require extreme development work, 3d design and scary physics, plus a lot of money.

To make it more immersive, I would count on virtual reality. I would say that we are not far away from having games similar to Sword Art Online. The technology I would implement would be the same that was used in SAO, the closest thing to NerveGear, a virtual reality helmet capable of controlling our avatars through stimuli from our brain. To make it more interesting, I would merge it with the technology of Ready Player One(My favorite movie).

To have a metauniverse, a virtual world, that would be amazing, but it would require a huge amount of work (not to say impossible). In Ready Player One they had high technology in the year 2045, we are already in the year 2021 and I do not think that in 24 years we can have something like that, but who knows? Let's say it's possible.

I already have the two most important parts formulated. How to get there? I honestly have no idea, but my workers will know how. If we remove the helmet and the virtual world, we are left with the free mechanics already mentioned, obviously these mechanics would seek to have a sense, too many physics and mechanics could overwhelm the player, everything should have a sense, but that's fixed, I just have to show the bills.

My perfect game would be the most similar to the Oasis(Ready Player One virtual world), a place where literally everything is possible, even if you are an Otaku you could have sex with your favorite character(I think I got sidetracked). Just by entering that world, nothing would be impossible, you could create infinite games and infinite game modes, everything is in the scope of your imagination.

Since the above I don't think it will happen and it seems to me too exaggerated, I'll take a game with excellent physics and mechanics, more freedom and less linear (it doesn't mean that the game should be a sandbox).

Something I would also like my game to have would be an amazing AI. The bots wouldn't just walk for the sake of walking, they would live their own story, their own life. They could have fights, eat, beat each other up, everything.

It's so simple to dream, I came up with a lot of additional ideas, but I feel like I've already said it all. It doesn't matter the theme since it would be created within the game, only your imagination would matter. It's funny to write all this to end up playing League Of Legends, the worst game ever and I'm content despite its negative points.

There are many games that I don't know, games of the new generation more than everything, I would love to know them but there are economic limitations. At this point, my game, console, whatever I could create, would be accessible to any kind of pocket and it would only require a single purchase, which means that for a small price you would have your gaming station at home (helmets are sold separately, Stonks).

Without further ado, I think I've already dreamed too much, my head hurts from imagining so much. I hope my ideas and dreams can be understood. I have to give special mention to my two favorite audiovisual works, Ready Player One and Sword Art Online, my favorite movie and one of the few anime that at the time really captivated me and made me think about the video game revolution, both gems. Faltan dos días para que culmine el concurso, creo que debo de ponerme en marcha con mi idea. Ya mencioné el concurso y por alguna razón me pongo nervioso, así que simplemente escribiré esta entrada como si se tratase de un simple post para evitar cagadas(Ya la cagué).

Dios, si tuviese un presupuesto ilimitado para crear un videojuego en su totalidad, no sabría por donde empezar. Existe tecnología que desconozco y apenas sé acerca de diseño 3d y programación. 

A pesar de ser un noob, cuento con muchos recursos, así que obviamente contrataría a profesionales, desarrolladores, diseñadores y compraría un buen sofá(Dato totalmente innecesario).

En el mundo existen millones de personas creando ideas para revolucionar el mundo de los videojuegos, el simple hecho de innovar es bastante complicado, así que únicamente me basaré en mis gustos, mis opiniones, mis experiencias, crearé mi juego perfecto.

Algo que siempre he pensado desde que soy un niño es en la limitación extrema que existen en los videojuegos, esta limitación que dificulta poner a volar la imaginación en una partida, básicamente casi todo juego antiguo está programado para seguir un camino lineal. Con mis recursos ilimitados yo rompería todo eso.

Empezamos el juego, nos dice como caminar, saltar, correr, todas esas cosas que ya sabíamos con tan solo coger el mando. Digamos que nos encontramos en un hospital abandonado, lleno de vidrios, tubos rotos, jeringas y bisturís dispersados por el suelo. Sería genial tener el control de todo, dejar lo lineal. En este tipo de juego siempre debemos de encontrar un arma, ya sea un cuchillo, una pistola, extintor de incendios, siempre es algo común. Yo acabaría con todo eso, dejaría que el jugador sea libre de elegir su arma.

 Si el jugador quiere recoger los vidrios del piso para defenderse, genial, obviamente sus actos tendrán consecuencias, infringirá menos daño por el simple hecho de haber cogido un trozo de vidrio, estar sujeto a que el vidrio se destroce y otras cosas que se adecuen más a la realidad. Estoy casi seguro que en la mayoría de juegos existen este tipo de escenarios, con objetos que se podrían utilizar como arma si el juego lo permitiera(Obviamente se requeriría más tiempo y dinero para desarrollar un juego así). 

Esa es una de las cosas más importantes que implementaría en un juego, libertad extrema, algo más adecuado a la realidad. Si queremos romper una tubería para utilizar un pedazo de tubo como arma ¿Por qué no?

Todo eso requeriría de un trabajo de desarrollo extremo, diseño 3d y unas físicas de miedo, además de mucho dinero.

Para hacerlo más inmersivo, contaría con la realidad virtual. Yo diría que no estamos muy alejados a tener juegos parecidos a Sword Art Online. La tecnología que implementaría sería la misma que se utilizó en SAO, lo más parecido al NerveGear, un casco de realidad virtual capaz de controlar nuestros avatares a través de estímulos de nuestro cerebro. Para hacerlo más interesante, lo fusionaría con la tecnología de Ready Player One(Mi película favorita).

Disponer de un metauniverso, un mundo virtual, eso sería increíble, pero requeriría de un trabajo inmenso(Para no decir imposible). En Ready Player One ellos disponían de alta tecnología en el año 2045, ya estamos en el año 2021 y no creo que en 24 años podamos tener algo así, ¿Pero quien sabe? Digamos que es posible.

Ya tengo las dos partes más importantes formuladas. ¿Cómo llegar a eso? Sinceramente no tengo ni idea, pero mis trabajadores sabrán cómo. Si quitamos el casco y el mundo virtual, nos quedamos con las mecánicas libres ya mencionadas, obviamente estas mecánicas buscarían tener un sentido, demasiadas físicas y mecánicas podría abrumar al jugador, todo debería de tener un sentido, pero eso está arreglado, yo solo debo mostrar los billetes.

Mi juego perfecto sería lo más parecido al Oasis(Mundo virtual de Ready Player One), un lugar donde literalmente todo es posible, incluso si eres un Otaku podrías tener sexo con tu personaje favorito(Creo que me desvié de tema). Con tan solo entrar en ese mundo, nada sería imposible, podrías crear juegos infinitos y modos de juegos infinitos, todo queda en el alcance de tu imaginación.

Ya que lo de arriba no creo que suceda y me parece demasiado exagerado, me quedo con un juego con excelente físicas y mecánicas, más libertas y menos linear(No significa que el juego deba de ser un sandbox). 

Algo que también me gustaría que tuviera mi juego sería una increíble IA. Los bots no caminarían por caminar, vivirían su propia historia, su propia vida. Podrían tener peleas, comer, golpearse, de todo. 

Es tan sencillo soñar, se me vinieron un montón de ideas adicionales, pero siento que ya lo dije todo. No importa la temática ya que se crearía dentro del juego, solo importaría tu imaginación. Es gracioso escribir todo esto para terminar jugando League Of Legends, el peor juego de la historia y me conformo a pesar de sus puntos negativos.

 Hay muchos juegos que desconozco, juegos de la nueva generación más que todo, me encantaría poder conocerlos pero existen limitaciones económicas. Ya llegando a este punto, mi juego, consola, sea lo que sea que pudiera crear, sería accesible a cualquier tipo de bolsillo y solo se necesitaría una única compra, lo que significa que por un módico precio dispondrías de tu estación de juego en casa(Los cascos se venden por separado, Stonks).

Sin más, creo que ya soñé demasiado, me duele la cabeza de tanto imaginar. Espero que mis ideas y mis sueños se puedan entender. Tengo que dar especial mención a mis dos obras audiovisuales favoritas, Ready Player One y Sword Art Online, mi película favorita y uno de los pocos animes que en su entonces realmente me cautivó y me hizo pensar en la revolución de los videojuegos, ambos unas joyas. I really like your idea! Albeit the idea is kind of vague, but I think that is what gives the power. In short, a game that allows **everyone** to play their own fantasy game, just like the posts from all of us of our ideal game. 

Loving the part where you can pick virtually anything up, reminds me a lot of dead rising or dead island where everything is able to be picked up and modded to kill zombies. 

And may I say, absolutely love your taste in GIFs lol

Joer, que buen juego saldría con varias de las ideas que propusiste ¿tomar un pedazo de vidrio para atacar? Que realista que sería eso, y con el plus de la realidad virtual seguro que sería un experiencia casi orgásmica XD.

PD: lo de tener sexo con tu waifu debería ser el estándar de todos los videojuegos de esta generación, change My mind

Si, en los videojuegos siempre hay demasiados elementos que podrían utilizarse como defensa, pero al final el juego opta por lo lineal y básico. Gracias por leer mi post y si, para muchos lo de la Waifu sería lo mejor hahahaha.

From what I'm seeing here our ideas are quite similar. I'm not gonna spoil to much about it yet. I plan on adding my entry to the contest sometime today. I can say that I'm heavily inspired by Ready Player One myself.

I really like the thing about being able to choose any weapon. I loved that about the old Dead Rising games. Walking around the stores and pretty much being able to pick up anything and use it as a weapon. Good times!

I promised you a 500 word comment on your next post so I guess I'll just have to ramble on for a while? Or maybe not.

Un juego como Ready Player One, alv. Sé que la película tiene bastantes crossovers de muchísimos juegos (incluso en el gif que mostraste veo a Traer de Overwatch), y también he visto algunas peleas donde aparece Mechagodzilla, so.. un mundo así sería estúpidamente grande, *e increíble*.


Pero, creo que lo más importante para crear el juego perfecto, es sin duda el sofá, ¿cómo planea una empresa hacer un juego perfecto sin un buen sofá? Nwbn.

Así es, aparece hasta Chucky(es un objeto en el juego y está rotísimo). Literalmente en el Oasis, el mundo virtual en el que están, es ilimitado. Todo puede suceder en él, incluso Minecraft en VR, uff. El sofá es lo que le da el toque a todo, sería un empresario muy importante, eso y las perr... me desvié de temita ya.
