### Patience, not Laxity

Patience is not laxity! We must take responsibility for the events in our life and promptly deal with challenges when they arise. Whenever we notice something not right or something likely to spoil our works, we must act quickly. A farmer doesn’t let the weeds grow a little more because he is being patient. He uproots them as soon as they appear.

Patience is not laziness! After the farmer plants, he waits patiently for his crops to grow. However, in the meantime, he goes to work watering them everyday, manuring their roots, and keeping the farm clear of weeds. When the time comes, he spends night and day on the farm harvesting them. If he leaves them too long, insects and birds will do the harvesting themselves, leaving him with nothing for all his work.

A Skyscraper might take months to rise, but the blocks must be laid on every day, bit by little bit.

### Conclusion
Now we’ve come to the end – our dare is almost complete. If you indeed had the patience to read this, then you do have the patience to build yourself up to more levels of excellence and achieve much greater things. As you go about this, keep in front of you the words of Saint Augustine: ‘Patience is the always the companion of wisdom’.

Be patient. Be wise. Be successful. Be excellent.
