More August Nature Up Close
Some more photos from an August walk with a macro lens.

This scene looked suited for black and white and it turned out well. It's my first digital color->b&w conversion in a while and I just wanted a #4 contrast filter while tweaking the color luminances. ;)

I think that first one is a False Solomon's Seal (Maianthemum racemosum), a great little woodland plant. It's in the same family as asparagus, of all things. 

The second and third photos are beautiful, too. They are the bittersweet nightshade (Solanum dulcamara). They are in the same family as tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers. You can really see the family resemblance in those beautiful purple flowers!
