Big Step Forward .:. dCity Investment Progress

In the last two reports, I was writing about the news from the @dcitygame account, but now, I have nothing to discuss it as the last post was 8 days ago, and I have already covered it... Still, the promise from developers about the launch was 

> 3rd Edition will hopefully be released in March :)

So, let's not rush to criticize and stone them... Before the end of March... :)

> *At the very beginning, I would like to clarify few things... dCity is a kind of investment game, which implies that you have to invest money (crypto, or however you want to call it) that you can play it... And that means that you can win, but you can also lose your investment... So, NEVER, but NEVER invest more than you can afford to lose... I have invested an amount that I can afford to lose, and I'm fine with that...*

The last couple of weeks I was "optimizing" my dCity, by buying farm and hotel cards, as they were cheap-cheap, and "removing" my basic homes and luxury homes from my "active" deck... Or simpler said, putting them for sale, but for the almost impossible price... That was my way for "removing" them from the active deck...

As I didn't sell them, I was accumulating cards in the background... But today, I have decided to make one big step! I have bought Social Aid Office card and "released" all my basic and luxury homes... As a result, I have bumped up my total population for almost 800 citizens!

I will probably do the same in the next 2-3 weeks again, accumulating a population card and trying to spare some SIM tokens for the next purchase of Social Aid Office... I was thinking of buying factories, but with taxes over 70%, I don't find them profitable... Anyways, all that can change, and I can be wrong... 

Regarding the past week, expect the population bump, I have raised my income for 360-380 SIM tokens, but that is a bit relative because of taxes... My popularity is up for 130, and I have also worked a bit on my creativity and raise it for 27, so it is now 741... I will probably work more on that as I would like to hit 1000...

If we take a look at the charts and the price of the SIM tokens, we can notice that it looks stable lately... I would say that the news about the 3rd edition cards did their purpose and some players were buying cards that would be needed for combining into new buildings... 

It would be nice to see this chart going up soon, but it all depends on the 3rd edition card's release date... But, as I said at the beginning, let us wait a bit more as we have just 2 weeks more in March...

Well it makes sense to maximize the tech winnings. If you have the max income approach you can slowly build another one parallel to the big one just for tech. I have now 5 cities and get almost daily a new tech. This techs are going to be very valuable now with the new buildings that need to be combined.

It depends on your point of view... Yes, it went up, but not because of the game, but because of Hive... :) I think that the price of packs is in HIVE also, so nothing is pegged to USD, like in SL for example... There we have prices in USD, which makes it more unstable compared to HIVE (at the moment)..

I think far too much emphasis is placed on trying to control the price of the token. Is this a game, or not? Let the tokenomics take care of itself. If you want to control the flow of the tokens, start buying up the OP cards and burn them or errata them. Other popular games (like Hearthstone, for instance) modify cards that are not working well for the game all the time. By skyrocketing the taxes, you are just making the game less popular (with reduces the demand and reduces the cost of the tokens).
