You may have read a couple of the fun stories over the last week and heard about the Masters of the Universe event. Well it's about to kick off full steem ahead.  Full Steem cleaver eh?.

<h1>What is it?</h1>
So you may be wondering what it's all about, maybe it seams kinda confusing, but that's half the fun. If you have been here for a few months you may remember the very funny and exciting steemlords quest that took place. [I'll link to one of my stories from back then, and it has links to the whole sequence.](https://steemit.com/steemlords/@phelimint/steemlords-the-rangers-defeat-an-ogre-arrive-at-edoras-and-receive-help-from-king-theoden) Steemlords ended on a cliffhanger [HERE](https://steemit.com/steemlords/@sirknight/steem-lords-masters-of-the-universe) and rolled right into this next Masters of the Universe Quest ( #MOTU for short).

<h2>There is some background but still what is it?</h2>
Well it's a lot of fun that's for sure. I would say its a short story/writing event for the not too serious writers. (well some are serious/very good) It has an ongoing quests with challenges and twists on the a regular basis. You get to try your hand at weaving a story together with all the other characters with whatever style you like. This one has an 80s Cartoon character theme and not much else is revealed yet, which is also half the fun. It seams the baddies are forming some sort of team and causing some trouble and now the hero's need to join forces and save the day.

<h2> How do I join? </h2>
Hopefully you are getting at least a bit interested. This has been the most fun I've had on Steemit and honestly joining the first steemlords was a game changer for me here so I'm really passionate about this event. It was a great way to make some real friends on this platform and my following and payouts started to skyrocket after joining. The quest was so much fun it attracted quite the audience and got many of my best paying posts during it. Anyways its a very fluid and unofficial thing so all you need to do is write yourself in. It's the most fun to start from the start, but heck if your inspired part way through, feel free to make a cameo like our [old friend Donny Bloghard did here](https://steemit.com/steemlords/@goldenarms/steemlords-donny-joins-the-fight) and then got himself wrote into [the next quest post here](https://steemit.com/steemlords/@choogirl/steemlords-chooxena-vegan-warrior-princess-gets-trolled). This is still one of my favorite steemlords moments and had me in stitches.

Anyways you still have time to jump into the portal and transform into your favorite or the funniest/craziest character you can think of. This is open to anyone who wants to come along and there's no special requirements of memberships.
