As in all things there is not only the positive part, nor only the negative one... of course it can be help disabled people, in work and in medicine, but those who command normally do not think about our well-being but about themselves.
So it happens that cashiers are replaced by cash machines losing their jobs, while a doctor has to waste time with an automatic cash machine without being paid.
Robots will obviously be used in wars, because they can see, hear, and smell better than a human being.
They can already read in your mind because they can distinguish fear or joy from the smell of your sweat... let's say that privacy is over...
it's fascinating but dangerous.
But you're right, humans wanted this and you can't go back, even if I prefer a real relationship to a simulation.
So we can only try to have an advantage from the positive side of technology, which we are doing here ;-D
