## Hi Friends! *** The day when I planned to enter the Highalnds of Iceland was very exciting to me, I dreamed about it since many years. I read and hear a lot of stories about this area of Iceland and I wasn't really sure what type of difficulties I will meet, if my car can handle the roads and river crossing, if I can handle all of that off-road tracks... I love the feeling of fear mixed with huge excitement. After many days without rain and windy weather, the air was full of dust and sand, first thing that really amazed me was the hazy air, the way how it works with the light creating beautiful layers of landscape. Every movement of the cars created huge dust clouds, sometimes small dust twisters and local dust storms were visible. The mood of dusty, unpleasant, wild landscape was simply incredible! I was amazed with almost everything there. It was something new, something unknown, something different than all the things I saw before. In this short gallery - first look on The Highlands of Iceland. Hope these pictures will show You the look and mood of that day. Plan for the day was to go from Vik to mountains called Landmannalaugar - beautiful and rainbow coloured mountain range in the heart of Highlands.
