Hi Steemians! You know my country is one of the most enlightened and it's clearly visible from the moon? It is often said that the great wall of China is the only work visible from the moon, but this is false. Belgian motorways are much more visible.
It is on, we can also see other cities of the world and highways. The particularity is that we also have the densest road network of Europe in a tiny country. So that the entire country is enlightened.

This results in an excess of light pollution, the possibilities of viewing the stars with  eyes or with a telescope are drastically reduced.
As you can see in the image below depicting light pollution in Europe, almost the whole of Belgium is in red

Light pollution as much as our screens has an impact on our biological rhythm. Maybe this is why I can't sleep ;)
Concerning animals, they are also disturbed in their migration or nocturnal activities.

All this without mentioning the astronomical cost expended in energy to illuminate these roads (on which it must be said there are not many people at night)
