Under the shadow of your flickers,  
the winds of yesteryear resound,  
whispers of an acclaimed world  
that still lives within your stranger.
Your gaze, hidden and deep,  
ephemeral laughter, lethal sadness,  
is a lake of secrets and shadows,  
a sea that never becomes banal.
I don't know what storms wound you,  
nor what storms overwhelm your being,  
but in the fleeting gleam of your eyes  
I can feel what you don't want to expose.
