Spells of Genesis (SoG), the highly anticipated blockchain-based game, developed by Swiss-based EverdreamSoft has come to the end of its beta testing. Soft launching Spells of Genesis allows us to test game usage and metrics with a wider audience than the beta releases. This way we can continue to optimize the game with sample data we collect from players who are not necessarily familiar with the blockchain or the game itself. This is necessary to improve the product in preparation for the full launch later this year.

The soon to be released mobile soft-launch version will be accessible on the official Apple and Google app stores only in selected countries, on the other end, the web version will be freely accessible to players worldwide with no country limitation. We will make further announcements for when the mobile soft-launch will happen and for which countries.
Players will enjoy several exciting new features such as being challenged with a new “daily quest” to help improve their skills by completing them. Their progress is monitored through an in-game achievements backend and, thanks to the newly added personal profile page, players can keep track of their overall progress. We have also revised the existing campaigns and added several additional ones. The whole game has been enlivened with brand new visuals, animations and sound effects.

Spells of Genesis will also be one of the first games utilizing the new blockchain gaming platform “The Book of Orbs”. The platform, jointly developed by EverdreamSoft and IndieSquare, is going to be released in a few days.
