My Weekend Experience: Graduation Photo, 18th Birthday and Sunday Mass

Hello friends!

Good day to everyone it might be late to share my weekend experiences last March 18,2023 and March 19, 2023, but I know it's truly something I want to remember when times pass by in sharing this with you in the Hive. My activities the last weekend where I had my graduation photo, my friend's 18th birthday and we attended a mass with my mom last Sunday.

# March 18, 2023 - Saturday #

Even on Friday, we were busy preparing for my friend's 18th birthday which was all DIY. She does not really want to have a debut or coming-of-age birthday. In the Philippines, when a woman reaches 18, it is an important milestone to celebrate with family and friends and as a way to welcome adulthood.

In that morning, I woke up early because I was booked to have my graduation photo in the morning which costs me 2,950 ($54) which includes makeup, frame, and outfits for toga and Filipiniana.

I had my graduation photo taken at Red Media Studio located in Ramos, Cebu, and truly something I could recommend. I cannot share my photos with you yet guys but even the raw pictures sent in my mail made me very satisfied!

I am with my friends and some glimpse of what the studio looks like in having my graduation photo.

At 1PM, my good friend treated us to lunch in Ribshack! I had not eaten anything since the morning and truly the unli rice is something that filled my stomach.

After our lunch, I hurriedly went home to buy flowers for decoration of my friend's debut and here is what it looks like.

I am very happy that it just blends with the white one and the twine string surrounded by the bottle we had made the night before.

This is also the set-up which was made by the aunt of my friend and also, every one of us truly helped in making the decorations on what it is.

I am so happy that we were able to pull off everything for the birthday of my friend! I am one of the 18 treasures in the birthday program, yet my gift was not yet shipped. Overall, this birthday is definitely, something she deserves and won't forget until her last breath.

We had a slight after-party, but everybody seemed to be tired, and I went home at 1am to sleep hehe.

# March 19, 2023 - Sunday #

I had ample of rest and went to attend a mass in which the gospel talks about the faith of a Samaritan woman who was with Jesus in the well.

The message of the priest is truly something that makes me emotional. From what I have recalled, he said that we must be joyful in whatever circumstances we have because the Lord is truly just with us. Many times, I am burdened by the challenges and struggles that I often forget to create good memories and be kinder to myself and have that joy that is needed to fuel me in my everyday life.

And since last Sunday, I am always trying to create excitement and joy in my life and one thing of it is writing in Hive which is not just a sort of reflection on my part but also practices me with my writing skills and the potential of earning money.
