A card game called Hex - Following the introduction
<h5>In my search for a free card game in Steam, Hex caught my eye.</h5>

When I was younger, I used to play the Yu-gi-oh card came. Both on pc or console and in real life with actual cards. Sadly, my cards have since then been confiscated by my brother and mixed in with his own deck (*Without my permission too, rude!*). I remember enjoying these games very much. I can't actually remember how I played them (pc or console), but looking around, all I could find on Steam was one game to buy with a lot of expansions.

Now before I buy this game, I figured I'd first check out some free card games, instead. I've played Hearthstone before, but found it to be quite frustrating when playing without delving into card deck theories online. I don't want to have to do that much research to have some chance of winning, even all the way down at the bottom. I might pick this up some other time, but these wounds need time to heal. */drama*

There are many card games to try, but Hex is the one that caught my eye this week. So far, I've only done the introduction, but I wanted to share some screenshots with you to show what this game looks like.

The introduction takes you through a small story where a village gets attacked by baddies.

You need to defeat these baddies in card games to save the village.

During this intro, you get to learn the ins and outs of the game and the tutorial will tell you what cards to play and why.

You can zoom in on your cards to read them and see what they do.

There are a couple of phases in each turn and your goal is to lower the enemy's health to 0, before yours reaches 0. You also have to keep an eye on the enemy's cards and attack or block them when this is beneficial.

So far, the combats looks to be a bit more elaborate than Hearthstone. The game has a single player campaign, but you can also do battles against other players. I'm happy to see both options available, as I don't always enjoy battling against other players. Sometimes I just want to take my time, for which a single player is the better option.

I'm definitely going to try out the single player campaign soon and I'll report back to you about my findings!

the good thing about hex is that it has a long campaign with a good story and when you play it you earn cards but not every card you win ican be used against other players. It has some cards for campaign only and guess, the best ones are for campaign and the worst ones against other players. Although there are a lot of cards and with cool eff as well as nice pictruring the are only a few people playing it so when you try to play against someone else it will take a lot of time. Finally people that have stayed are the ones that were since start so mostly everyone has given money for cards. 
You will only lose if you play a match against other players and because i said only a few people are in the game when you play rank you get to fight players 4-5 times your lvl and rank 

Overall to me only the campaign worth ( you gonna lose a lot of times there and i mean alot :P, i have played the same fights over 40-50 times), if the amount of people playing hearstone ( which i dont like at all) were in Hex the game would be in a whole different lvl!

Card games were always kinda on the sideways of gaming until Hearthstone came out and opened a whole new sea of possibilities. Witcher card game Gwent will be great, Elder Scrolls Legends, Hex seems decent. There are so many more in the making and who knows what else will come out in the future.

I'm really excited to see what other card games will pop up in the future.  I didn't know about Elder Scrolls Legends. That seems like a very interesting game. I'm going to bookmark it to try later :D
