Hmm I haven't participated in any airdrops yet. I guess I'm lucky in that regard then *(although free money is always good)*. It takes a bit of time, but this is the one rule our government has had for quite a few years already. Write down the worth of all of your crypto's on the first of january. Figured it's best to do what I can and keep some screenshots as proof :-)

Well.... Hive is an Airdrop from Steemit. I think anyone on Hive has received an airdrop. If you had $10,000 on Steemit you received $10,000 on Hive... how do we claim that $10,000 income from an investment of $0 from blogging on Steemit

Ha, that's a good point! For taxes here in my country, it seems logical for me: I didn't have to do any work for the initial value of my Hive account, so I don't see that as income from work. I screenshotted my wallet when I learned of the existance of Hive and claimed my account and will now do so every first day of the year for proof of holdings. Anything I earn now while blogging will probably be more like income from work, or atleast I'll treat it that way for now to be sure. So confusing and I'm sure governments still don't exactly know what to do with this stuff either.
