Language is used to as an important tool or a vehicle for any human interaction. In our desire to build an impressive type of relationship, we use language. Language is an essential tool for man's communication. As such language becomes an inherent part of group which binds members together in the expression of common desires, feelings, attitude, or aspiration.

Language is something that human being used in possess. Animals and the other lower forms of living creatures do not have language. Language is uniquely created for human beings alone. It is a gift from god, it is given to people as a means to understand each other in the perpetuation of humanity.

The defined language in its exact terms is not an easy task, but the attributes may help us to fully understand it. Language enables communication between individuals. Language is culturally transmitted and varies across cultural groups. Language use as primarily vocal sound, but only a subset of all possible vocal sounds. Language units are arbitrary symbols that need not have ne correspondence to the things they represent. Language has a grammatical structure that can be analyzed on many levels. Language units can be arranged according togrammar to produce novel utterances and to convey novel ideas. The ideas needs not currently be true and might never have been or never be true.

In the normal course of development children do know about the functions of language. Children all over the world regardless of grammatical or phonological complexity acquire the major components of their native language by the time they are three or four years old. By the time they reach school age and begin the study of formal grammar, they can already adapt their speech to any social context. They learn the language system intuitively. It means that as they grow they are able to encode and decode an infinite number of varied messages.

Human language are immensely complex system of convention for linking symbols with meanings for the purpose of communication. Language is a system. It is so structured that the collection of sounds makes meaning various units combined to form meaning. There are two important dimensions of human language uses and structures.

Language use has something to do with pragmatics. People have developed a very complex language. Since the immemorial when human civilization was young language has become an important means of communication. With the use of language people can invent, innovates, propagate, and perpetuate. They are also capable of displaying their potential for problem solving critical thinking and other forms of metacognitive task. Languages used to transmit message and it's the same language used to generate and interpret messages.

There are three important structural levels of language which is words, syntax and discourse.
Words are the building blocks of language. These are communication symbols used in the classroom. Words are not objects they're not people or animals. Words are simply the labels we attached to people, objects or animals. The words we use in everyday activities, interactions and occurrences are characterized by context ,social, cues meanings, and readability.

Syntax refers to the logical arrangement of words in sentence. To secure logic and meaning, a sentence need to follow a correct grammatical pattern. The words used in sentence must be logically arranged, they must also be grammatically ordered if not, the words can create different meaning.

The third structural level is called discourse. If words are the building blocks of a language and sentences are the basic units of a language. Then it is true that discourse structure is the framework of comprehension. Discourse structure is the highest level in language system, these structure can be categorized into narration, exposition, argumentation, and description.

This is one of the most powerful tool we had on earth. It is very understandable that language is the main source of our communication to create understanding in all aspects and walks of life. We could probably couldn't imagine if there is no language that we can use in living day by day. Without it living in the world with full of people and without language life will never going to work out. We need understanding, even if we are having a different language we spoke in our different countries but from the word it self that language is a means of communication we could live in the world with full understanding.
