Well im kind of biased toward libertarianism honestly (if i am to be labeled). But then again classically liberal is much different than the regressive excessive left of today. They were actually alot like libertarians of today. 
Honestly dont know if classical.liberalism exists in politics today.  :/

I think they justify it as: "if the good guys do it, then it's not wrong"

And the government is automatically labeled as the good guys, so everything they do is totally right.

I think idiots have a short memory span, they totally forgot about the Nazis and Bolsheviks.
