<center>**THE OPERATING MANUAL OF A SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE.**</center>



Today I want to discuss a topic that generates controversies. There are different explanations based on the ideologies and cultures.  


Some one once told a story of a guy who had car breakdown. That car happened to be a FORD model of a car. He had tried hard to get the car started to no avail.


Suddenly one old man pulled by and looked at the car and told the driver owner what to do to get the car stated. The guy did not accept his suggestion could help him. 


When he had ran out of ideas on what to do, he decided to try what the old man instructed him to do. When he did, the car started to the amazement of the guy. He turned to the old man for introduction. 


The old man answered and said, I am Mr.FORD. I manufactured the car. The manufacture of the car knows every nitty-gritty of the car and can fix it better than anyone else.


Every manufacturer of a machine, provides a written operating manual.  Failure to study the manuals before operating the machine can be hazardous. 


God instituted marriage in the garden of Eden. 


**Gen 1:27, 2:24:**   

>*So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God, He created him, male and female, He created them. 

**Genesis 2:24**
 
>*Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and shall become united and cleave to his wife and they shall become one flesh.*


God's utmost desire is for us to enjoy love/care with our family members, that was how He designed it from the beginning, that man shall leave – cleave and become one flesh with his wife which is bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh.

Divorce was not part of God’s original plan.


**Matthew.19:4,8,** Reminded us of what God hath said in Genesis, therefore should be taken seriously.


Divorce can be defined as the legal ending of a marriage, when a husband and a wife decides not to live together, they no longer find joy and interest and pleasure in each other, which is not God’s plan. 


The family life is divine, this we must understand that it is not man’s initiative at all. God ordained us to live and enjoy a lively family, God is interested to be the centre of it. 


Therefore in times of pressure, challenges, divorce should not be considered an option. Divorce is not only ending a marriage legally, it is also putting death were life once existed.


Therefore to enjoy the plan of God concerning your family, divorce should not be allowed, those considering marriage or already married should be very careful concerning this.


**GOD'S  PLAN.**

I am using this medium to assure you that God has a better plan for you than divorce. God hate separation, therefore the bible say take heed to your spirit and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth Malachai 2:15-16. 


God hate separation and every disobedient act against one’s spouse in marriage, God’s word is more than enough to handle any problem in marital relationship, family and home and any area of your life. 


God has given both man and woman the ability to tolerate, support and complement each other for life, therefore not following the original partern and design of God, “The Originator” of marriage might cause marital conflict which can lead to tension, separation, finally divorced. Note the word,  TOLERATE. 


**REMEDY.**

* Do you know that God’s word is the solution for all marital problems and not divorce?


* Understanding is an added value, the bible say with wisdom a house is built but with understanding it is maintained. 

Divorce is just a legal permission to remarry or pay less attention to your original spouse, remarrying and separation is not the answer, both are unhealthy for those who desire to enjoy a successful marriage and also to see it as a ministry to be fulfilled.


In conclusion, divorce may appear to be the best solution for now, eventually will remain a scar and wound that cant be healed, though the marriage have legally ended. 

Think twice before doing any damage to your marriage, remember to call on the God of marriage institution, always ready to mend the broken hearted, heal the wounds and scars, also always available to show you a new way to kindle your love life.
