Las novelas policiales, de suspenso y thriller, tienden a ser las más adictivas, de las que no dejas de leer hasta que la acabas. Eso me sucedió cuando estaba ya por la mitad en este libro, simplemente tuve que acabarlo. Publicada en el 2013, siendo su autor el suizo Joel Dicker.

**Sinopsis**: Marcus Goldman es un joven escritor que tiene problemas para realizar su segunda novela. Una solución que encuentra para terminar su bloqueo será visitar a su antiguo mentor Harry Quebert. Luego de una semanas de visita y regresar a su casa, será sorprendido con un caso antiguo de la desaparición de una joven, que involucra a su mentor y a la pequeña ciudad de Aurora, New Hampshire.

Esta novela tiene varias ideas interesantes. Aparte de tener un caso detectivesco en el que iremos conociendo la ciudad de Aurora y a sus habitantes. También se cuenta en la novela, como hay que escribir un buen libro, consejos que se irán repartiendo al inicio de cada capítulo. Esas 2 partes que parecen no relacionadas, tiene mucha importancia en este peculiar caso. Una idea adicional es que se narra la historia en tiempos diferentes, ya que los orígenes del caso se dan en 1975, siendo el presente de la historia 2008.

Sobre el caso en sí, es realmente entretenido de conocer, y como siempre intentar determinar quiénes son los posibles culpables. Habrá muchos giros, hasta cierto punto que exagera un poco en el tramo final.

Por los personajes, hay unos bastantes interesantes, comenzando con el protagonista, su mentor Harry Quebert, la joven desaparecida Nola Kellergan, y otras más. A su vez, hay bastante comedia en varias partes, principalmente por ciertos personajes un tanto caricaturescos, como son la madre de Marcus y el abogado de Harry.

El libro me ha parecido bastante entretenido, no pude dejar de leer apenas llegué a cierto punto. Lo recomiendo si te interesa leer sobre un caso detectivesco que implique a escritores.
