Johann Sebastian Bach, Triosonate nr 2, c moll: Largo | Secrets of Organ Playing Contest, Week 126

This is my entry for the Secrets of Organ Playing Contest. I play the second movement of Johann Sebastian Bach's Triosonate nr 2, in c minor (BWV 526).

After playing the first movement of this sonata last week, I got a bit over confident. Having played several movements of Bach's Triosonatas I thought I would play this one more or less avue. It does not seem very difficult at first sight and I thought, with all the practice I have by now, I would be able to play this one without too much practise.

Well, not so...

Never under-estimate a Trio by Johann Sebastian Bach. Playing them requires technique, finesse and a firm grasp of the musical material to bring out all the details really well. And that takes practice and time. 

So this performance is a bit of a mess, sorry for that. Sadly I have no backup plan for this week's contest and no time to prepare something else. So, here it is anyway. And I'll post a better version when I've really practised this movement.

Thanks for your entry! I love your articulation! I didn't notice any significant problems with your playing even though you said you needed spend more time with this movement. Does the Altenbruch sample set have any tremulants?

Perhaps I am a bit too critical on this performance, nevertheless I'm not satisfied with it. It was too much a struggle to get the right notes out in the right places. It's mainly playing the notes and not making music. 
Altenbruch does have tremulants. In fact, since I recorded this performances I've started to play it with just flutes 8' in both hans and tremulant.
