MEMORIES are part of us and it's a lie if you do not have one to remember. I remembered a lot of them but I will only be talking about two of them.

The first was traveling home as family in our own car and enjoying those beautiful views on the road. Every December, we prepare ourselves to go celebrate with families and my Grannies are always at the entrance of the door waiting to embrace us. On this particular day, we would wake up early in the morning. While we go into the bathroom to take our shower, my mum would prepare a dish, most times Jollof rice or Yam with Egg and then packed all into a big cooler with some water alongside, then she puts everything in the car. This is our precious moment because when in the car and after Dad has drove to some distance, we then stop under a shady tree to eat our food together. Then after eating, we continue our 7-8 hours journey feeling Jovial and Satisfied. We never missed such moment of cooking while traveling as we imagined it a beautiful moment together. 

Then the second is getting home to have the feeling of visiting the village stream. This is where every children in the village we meet every weekends to play. Many times, we would take some dirty clothes to the stream with an excuse that we are going there to wash. Though we wash but the excitement of leaving home for the stream is something I can't forget so easily. 

Also, there is an old man (he is dead now), we enjoyed going to pack his clothes and wash in the stream. The enthusiasm in us hitting the clothes on the hard rock to remove stains as this is mostly said that to make a clothes clean, you need to take it to the river and keep smashing on the rock. As if there is a magic there, the clothes are clean with less soap.
