Winter days are boring especially winter nights, sometimes the long night seems quite depressing. My life is different than others and sometimes I don't find anyone to talk to about my personal stuff, it's depressing and also causes mental issues sometimes. Trust me when I try to talk about my things, people think I am crazy or I am dealing with hardship. I miss my friends whom I used to trust, they are far away from me and long-distance doesn't help when I need to communicate openly. 


Sometimes I find it hard to deal with myself and I don't find anyone to talk to, I am not very open to anyone so I keep everything to myself. I am glad I have my dog with me, she helps a lot to inspire and motivate me. But trust me sometimes I just sit down and find myself alone at home, sometimes I find it really hard to adjust to the calmness. 

I wish I could find a solution to deal with these certain things, I suppose this is happening because of the season and I don't find much to do to keep myself busy.

I am an immigrant here in Ukraine and my best friend lives in my native country. So it's like a thousand miles away. I have friends here but they are just friends, they are not someone I can trust or be close to besides I can't communicate here much in Ukraine because of the language issues. Those who live in my native country, we are friends for 15 years. I can call them anytime, we talk but it's not like we are talking in person besides some issues can't be described on phone. Another issue is time zone, hard to communicate with each other from time to time.

I get it. What took you to Ukraine?

I'm experiencing the same withdrawals. I've only been back to California for about 3 weeks in the past 4 years. It's the friends part that's the worst. I make new acquaintances as I roam but I can't trust them.

I know it is not the same, but could you talk with your friends via Zoom or Whatsapp etc? You can hear their voice and see their face, it is a start perhaps...

I do but our time zone and life are so different, we can arrange a meeting but due to time zone, we often cancel our plans. Another fact, I can't just directly say or approach anything, it's my fault that I am not very expressive on my matter but I should continue trying...
