My way of keeping myself Happy during Lockdown || Self Portrait, Editing, Healing

My stress is much more reduced than before but still, there is a fear of CoronaVirus. I don't want to take any kind of chance because I don't know what is waiting for me in the upcoming future. I am in self-isolation and still, I am leading self-quarantine life though restrictions are reducing in Ukraine.

After leading 2 months lockdown situation, now we can go out. recreational places are open, parks are open for walking but still, I wear a mask though many don't nowadays. Spring is here but this spring is different according to last spring. I have enjoyed last spring very much, captured a lot of pictures, went for a long walk. But because of social distance, I am not taking any chance to go far away from my home. 

So, this year I have decided to capture some pictures as a memory of Spring2020. Every year I do that so why not this year, I can't miss the opportunity to explore the beauty of spring in Kharkiv city, Ukraine.

For nice photographs, you obviously need good natural light, especially for selfies. In the past few days, it was raining here so I had to postpone my plan until yesterday. Finally, I have got a beautiful sunny day so I didn't want to miss the golden opportunity because don't know if I can do it tomorrow or not.

I have edited my self-portraits using different effects/filters. This time I wanted something warm, old frame types of effects. So for this picture, I have selected **Warmify and 1960's** effects/filters to give a retro look.

My concept was **"Close to Nature"** as my maximum photography or photographs are based on nature. So, this time I just tried to incorporate myself with nature in a unique way. Basically, these are Instagram style pictures but why not share these images with everyone. 

I have uploaded both original and edited one. The original one is bright because it was a sunny day and for the edited one, I have used **Dark Matte effect/filter**. Just because of filters, both pictures look different though the subject is the same.

Later, I have decided to capture some pictures from the surrounding. I have seen some wild mushrooms as well so I thought to take some images of them. I love how naturally shade shadow created and left a valid reason to grow more mushrooms there. I think because of rain, mushrooms were growing big.

I know after a few days, days will be not the same as yesterday. After the seven months of gloomy winter, finally, trees, plants, in fact, the entire nature is taking a breath. The leaves of the trees are fresh, inviting, and fresh green, it seemed like they were inviting me to show their beauty.

When I was sitting on the grass, I feel something relaxing, maybe it is the soothing feeling which we always try to achieve through spa, relaxation. I think sitting on the grass or touching fresh grass has some healing power. I felt like they were saying ***"Feel the green, free your mind, the answer is there"...***

Last but not least I am showing the last self-portrait for today. As I have mentioned before that the day was so bright that I don't need to edit my original pictures. Now, you must be thinking **"Was I lay down on the Grass?"**, I am leaving the answer for you to decide. I kept it simple, conceptual...

Hope things continue to get better there. Interesting that people are stopping wearing masks. Here in France, we are just in the first step of relaxation of lockdown. People are wearing masks more. Not for walking about but most people do when going into shops etc.
