 Greetings everyone! This afternoon while having a walk to the small vegetable market found just 2 minutes away from my bistro, I noticed a village man selling fresh corns along the road - This is the beauty of being in a village! Another post will surely follow on these corns... For now let me show you a little bit of how they look like... I bought more than 20 pcs of these to be served to guests coming to my bistro these two days, I will see if people will be interested with them or not!  *** The great news is that we will be getting these beauties for the next 3 months at least, so it's time for me to use the max of them and in the same time try some new recipes!  *** So actually in Mauritius, the most famous way to eat corn on the cob is to simply boil it with salted water until soft! When done, you just enjoy them like that, which is for sure so yummy! Others apply some salted butter on the corn which is again a great idea! Other than that I don't know any other famous way of preparing them! But I do know nearly everyone has their way of preparing corn on the cob! I have started 3 different tests already on them earlier today...  *** - I boiled some same as the classical Mauritian way - count like 20-25 minutes in boiling salted water! - The second way is that I peeled one and grill it directly on the fire. - And the 3rd test is grilling it with the husks on!  *** On the grilled ones, I put a homemade honey mustard butter and it went perfectly together!  *** I do have a lot of ideas coming to my head that I will surely explore soon, but today I want to hear/read from you all around the world.... ### HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM??? ### HOW DO YOU COOK THEM??? ### SHARE YOUR CORN ON THE COB SECRET WITH US??? I like corn on the cob with sour cream, parmesan cheese and paprika. When corn is in season in the Midwest USA, it is so delicious. It cooks up very quickly and can be eaten with literally nothing on it!

<center> The most common way I know of making corn on the cob with sweet corn is to boil it like you've described above. Butter and salt on it are also good. Another way I've had it is grilled like you have described. If I grill it in the husk I usually add some mixture of oil (like coconut/olive oil) or butter and spices to suit my mood and compliment the rest of the meal. <br> </br> If you are ever interested in trying some other types of heirloom corns and getting creative you might like to try something like Carl's Glass Gem Corn or Painted Mountain Corn. Perhaps you could have someone you know order some seed and grow them for you if you could not spare the time to grow some yourself? I am from India. Here we make various corn recipes. Below are some recipes which are very simple to prepare: 1. Peel the corn leafs and boil it in pressure cooker and boil until 2 whistles only. This is enough for make them boil and make it soft. After that apply some salt and lemon on it. Then fellas eat it. You will love it. This is available in India everywhere. 2. Detach corn seeds from his body and boil it. After that add some salt, little black pepper, little red chilli powder, add lemon juice to it. Add little sugar if you want sweet and sour taste. And enjoy its taste it is little easy to have. You don't have to detach seeds to corn to it body with your teeth. It will not mess with your tooth. 3. Take corn and remove its leafs. Grill the corn and revolve it after keeping it on one side for few time. Repeat this process until all corn get grilled. Apply salt with lemon juice. You will get the smoky flavor with corn. Hello my friend! Oh yes I still accept SBD and Steem in my restaurant! Thanks so much for sharing the link, i will check it out!
