Enjoying my first day off after 34 consecutive days of work!!!
Hello world of amazing Steemians!

The last few days here in Mauritius have been rainy and apparently these rainy days will last more! I in fact spent my first day off since the opening of my bistro in such a rainy weather! 

After 34 consecutive days of work, I finally decided it was time to close for a day and have some relaxing time with the family! This was on Thursday 4th January 2018! My next day off will be on Tuesday 12th January 2018!

So last Thursday I decided to go out with my mother, wife, daughter and my wife's aunt! We went for lunch at the Ocean Basket restaurant situated in the Bagatelle Shopping Mall!

This post is not a restaurant review or whatever, I am just sharing some pictures I took there. Everybody had a nice lunch overall except for my mum who fell sick 30 minutes after the lunch, she vomited all her food. 
But she was alright some hours later, maybe it was some kind of food poisoning  or maybe the hot and humid weather made her sick. 

Any ways, I am happy that she was fine hours later!

So coming back to my lunch that day, here is how the bread was served with some chili sauce, butter and some kind of mayo!

My mother and wife both had this seafood soup and said it was very yummy!

I selected 2 different family platter, one for starter and one for the main course!

This is the one served as starter. Olives, hummus, cheese, crispy calamari and grill calamari salad were all tasty!

And here is the second family platter served as main course. 

There were prawns, calamari, fish, fries, saffron rice and garlic butter sauce! Again very tasty food!

We were so full that we did not order anything as dessert!

While having our lunch, it was raining heavily outside! After the lunch we went to do some usual shopping and the day was over just like that! It is crazy how time is running so quickly!

Overall I had a good off day and I am looking forward to the next one which will be in couple of days...Tuesday 12th!

Good evening @progressivechef, it's been a while since I made a comment on your post. It's because I don't participate in your contests. But I read them and I like what you do very much. Today you made a post I can comment on. I'm glad you had a day off. It must be very busy having your own restaurant. I'm glad you enjoyed your meal with your family and I must say it looks delicious. But not so nicely made as your own dishes if I may say so. I hope you are doing great and I love to read more post of you in the future.

Hahaha! The food that I ate that day really does not look like the ones that I cook normally! But no choice for me, it was day off and I had to eat some place!
