It is not a secret that the summer comes with a great time outdoor. More time for picnics, to go to the beach or just to relax on the couch. 

But we must be aware of all the dangerous insects that can make us suffer and spoil our vacation and rest.

Summer is coming, take a few moments in planting or purchasing some of these plants to prevent adverse reactions from the flying critters.
Here I will tell you something more about the mosquitoes
> Mosquitoes are common, flying insects that live in most parts of the world. Over 3,500 types of mosquitoes can be found worldwide.
>Not all mosquitoes bite people or animals. When mosquitoes bite people, the most common reactions to the bite are itching and swelling.

I've researched some of the plants that could be planted in the garden in front of our building and to prevent the bites of mosquitoes.

### Marigold

This is one amazing plant. It is an annual plant that blooms all summer long with bright colors. Even that the flower has been stereotyped it has a great variety of blossoms. The can be from bright yellow to dark orange. 

They can easily live outdoor in your garden or a pot on your window. They have a specific smell which the mosquitoes can detect, they don't like it and avoid the area of the flower. It can be used as a transparent curtain for preventing bugs to some in your living place. It is all-natural and can't harm your kids or pets.

Many people use them as a border for their vegetable gardens.


### Lavender

It is interesting that there are no small animals like rabbits and mice around the lavender fields.
Probably it comes from the magical scent of the lavender. Most of the time the lavender fragrance has been used in the industry. The unique smell of the plant is in the leaves and the blossom of it. 

It can be planted in a pot or your garden. the plant is tough when it is established, all it needs is full sunlight and to be well watered. It is a good mosquito repellent plant which can be grown all over the world, mostly it prefers warmer climate.


### Basil

Have you wondered why you don't have any mosquitos in your garden? The basil could be the answer. If you have it your farm field. This is a wonderful herb that has a specific smell and a taste it is added in many recipes for his flavor, and guess it is a mosquito repellent as well.

The herb prefers to be well watered, so if you have it in a pot or your garden you must be prepared to water it every day.

It is not a secret that you can buy a spray or some kind of patches and be protected from the mosquitoes. I was searching so something that can't harm my toddler and the rest toddlers at the playground in front of our building. 

When the kids are bigger it is easier to use a wristband with essential oils.
