A Wired House Help.

When documenting or discussing the evolution and major development in human history, technology can't be missed out. In fact, civilization is somewhat a measure of how much technology has been embraced. Certain countries are said to be more civilized than others majorly because of how much technology has been embraced: the rate at which technology is being used.

Robot, a big achievement of technology is on another level because their ability: more than just computer. Robots are tasked to perform specific functions. And in context of the Hive Learner's prompt, a robot that helps with doing all house chores.

If I would get a robot that helps with house chores, it would be for my parents. This is because my parents are in that age range where they need to reduce the work they do, mostly standing, walking and lifting of heavy things. For women around the age of 55 and above, there's a common complaint of pains in the leg or thigh. I've heard my mom compliant about her legs paining her after doing some chores, it gets to me everytime. So, I'd rather do the chore or help her out no matter how busy I am, even if I have to attend to the chore later. As long as she isn't feeling pains, I'm fine.

Having such robot with them at home will really be helpful. They get to reserve their energy for something more important, they get to relax and get enough rest. Sun-drying of clothes, pressing and folding of clothes, arranging of items, trashing out the waste, opening and closing of the door, sweeping, washing of dishes, etc are ways a house chore robot can prove being useful. It will be more effective if it is a really advanced robot that is smart enough to identify objects, also one that can receive and implement instructions given to it directly by its owner.

A robot with ability to so all of those will be so expensive because of how much it will be to every user. I will get one for my parents if I can afford it. And for me, I don't think I need that robot at the moment. I just graduated from the university, I stay alone so I don't see the need for a house chore robot. The chores I do, I don't see them as a workload. I've gotten used to doing the chores—sweeping, cleaning of dishes, washing of clothes and drying, pressing and folding of clothes into the wardrobe, etc. All these are minor to me and doesn't take much time from me at all.

One thing that would be a limitation for the robot will be cooking and I understand that it can be programed to cook certain meals but there will a problem when it comes to quantity and tyoes of food. Imagine a robot making amala, semo or eba. That's crazy.

I believe that owning a house chore robot, for 90% of people the free time they get from the assistance of the robot will be diverted into using it for more consumption in the internet.
