After finishing up Blasphemous I went straight on to play Blasphemous 2. I enjoyed Blasphemous so much that I saw no reason to not jump straight into the second game. And, of course, the traction that my videos on Blasphemous gave my YouTube channel was another motivating factor to continue. Blasphemous 2 has of course been made into a video series as well. >!  https://youtu.be/Ly6XWzlNF-U --- # Different but same Blasphemous 2 does a lot of things different than what Blasphemous did. The game is still a 2D-metroidvania made with beautiful pixel art. We still play as the Penitent One and we're still on a quest to take down the Miracle. The allmighty god who turned out to not be so good after all. Shocker. It also does a lot of things differently. It's still a souls-like but it's much more a platformer now as well. Instead of having only the one weapon that we unlock new abilities for we now have three different weapon with each their own skill tree. There's also way more custimization available through both passive effects and spells that you can create synergies between. It feels more like an RPG in that sense as well. It's still popular and the videos are still going strong. I'm nearing the end of the video series now and so far I've gotten 13k views on this video series and close to 1000 hours of watch time. There's some viewers out there who literally watch every one of my videos and comment on all of them. That's a lot of fun to see each and every day. It's not been quite as popular as Blaphemous 1 was in the same period but I think that's natural. Blasphemous basically has a cult following and it's available on mobile which means a lot more people know about it. Blasphemous 2 is the sequel that didn't quite reach the peak popularity of its predecessor. I'm gonna be playing Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and Hollow Knight on the channel after this and I'm excited to see how those games hold up. How is the difficulty level in this second one compared to the first? 1000 hours of watch time is amazing, man. I always thought your channel is massively underrated with the amount of quality videos you have. Many people have worse content but somehow got lucky. The difficulty doesn't feel that different to me. It might even be easier since you have more customization options and aren't locked to the one weapon with linear upgrades. You can build to your own style. Also thanks for the nice comments. Awesome to hear that my videos are looking good!

I recall after getting towards the end of B1 that it was considered soulslike. I hate actual soulslike games and didn't feel that Blasphemous was all that difficult. It was more difficult than Astro-Bot sure, but not anything like Dark Souls level of difficult. I will eventually end up buying this game, I am sure of it.
