With Covid no longer being classified as a danger to society in Norway things are finally returning to normal. Masks are all gone, except for those who want to use them, and keeping your distance to people is no longer needed. This is great even though it sucks that the buses are all cramped again.

This also makes it a lot easier to go abroad. Now we don’t have to deal with quarantine and potential isolation when returning home. Seeing as Denmark had opened up just a few days before Norway we decided to make Copenhagen our destination for this trip. It’s a nice town that doesn’t take us on a long flight and Norwegians and Danes understand each other pretty well. Danish is basically Norwegian but without consonants.

What sucks is that there were a lot of conflicting information about traveling to Denmark. The Norwegian governments website stated that we needed to have a valid Covid passport to be allowed to enter Denmark. Because we had Covid about a month ago we haven’t had the 3rd vaccine and because we only tested ourselves at home our Covid infection wasn’t registered properly. We couldn’t get a PCR test as that would turn out positive for up to three months after having had Covid. That meant we had to get an antigen test at a private clinic that cost us $80. That turned up negative of course so we were set to travel. Fast forward until yesterday and it turns out we didn’t have to get tested. Denmark doesn’t care. Our government probably just didn’t have the updated information. Now we’ve learned to check several sources going forward.

The trip itself went pretty well. No delayed flights or anything. We even had seats over the wings for both flights which meant extra space for leg stretching. It also set the stage for some cool out of window photography once we were up in the air. I was pretty lucky with the time of day as the lighting was perfect. No sun shining directly in the window.

When we arrived we quickly got on the train into the city center and found our hotel. It took us no more than 20 minutes from the airport to our hotel. We just unloaded our baggage before heading out to eat. Not many restaurants were open this late so we had to walk for a bit to what looked like a nice pizza restaurant. The pizzas here were awesome and perfect with a good amber beer.

We’re gonna go get some breakfast now before going to a spa. From there on out it’s wherever the wind takes us. As long as it blows us towards some beers and drinks.

Have fun ! It's great that you guys don't have to do the mandatory quarantine back home. Can't wait for that thing to be implemented here as well. Though, the test still adds extra layer of hassle these days, I just hope they finally get rid of that too.
