I Collected 200 Mounts in World of Warcraft

I am one of those who are on the impossibly endless journey towards collecting everything in World of Warcraft. It's unlikely I'll ever be able to do it, but that doesn't mean it's fun to keep o collecting as many things as I can. Luckily, there's a good few milestones to reach on that journey. One of those is the achievement for collecting 200 mounts in World of Warcraft.

Reaching milestones always feel rewarding. Especially when you're working towards what is essentially an endless and impossible task. The milestone for getting 200 mounts is the 6th milestone when it comes to collecting mounts. The next milestones comes in at 250 mounts. I think starting from 250 the milestone will start to increase, which is fair I guess. It just means it becomes ever harder to reach each milestone.

The milestone itself comes in form of an achievement and you get a new mount as a reward. That's quite fitting. Mount collectors love getting mounts so they know their audience with this one. The reward for 200 mounts is the Armored Blue Dragonhawk that is visible in the cover image and in the image below.

The mount to make me reach the milestone was the Widow's Undercrawler. I purchased this from the Severed Threads faction after reaching maximum rank with them. I was able to buy three mounts when reaching that rank and this one was the one to take me above that milestone of 200. It's a bit creepier than the Dragonhawk so arachnophobia people, beware.

I was trying to decide on a favorite mount in my collection but that was an impossible task. I have so many cool dragons, machines, and other animals that all fit into the category of favorites. Still, if I had to choose one then it will have to be the Ochre Dreamtalon. I collected this one in the last patch of the Dragonflight expansion in the Emerald Dream zone. There are several other Dreamtalons and I have a few of them but the color scheme of the Ochre version is just so nice. Whenever I'm in an area where I have to use ground mounts this is the one I always summon.

I've collected a few towards the milestone of 250 already and am sitting at 205 mounts currently. It's probably going to be a while until I see the next milestone as mounts isn't the only thing I'm collecting. I like collecting all there is in the game and I try to take area by area of category by category. Sometimes I'll be focusing on pets, then on transmogs and then on mounts. Sometimes I might be focusing on entire zones or dungeons instead. It all depends where my focus is shifting and if there's any special chase items I want to try and get.
