# Introduction the new $PNS validator!

The $PNS project has just set up a an **SPS validator** node sponsored by @bamlolx and @endecs because we believe **$PNS can play a meaningful role** in securing the Splinterlands ecosystem, empowering the ecosystem, and helping onboard the *next wave* of players and supporters from the wider memecoin community!

## **So... What is $PNS really about?**

We’re not your average memecoin. The goal of **$PNS** is to **leverage the strength of the Splinterlands community**, one of the oldest and most battle-tested communities in all of Web3, to create a token with a strong initial community, fun energy, and long-term impact.

Our goal is to attract the **degens**, the gamblers and the memecoin flippers into the Splinterlands ecosystem. Why? Because many memecoin traders are actually **serious investors** too.

- 📱 **Cross-Ecosystem Reach:** **$PNS** has already been **integrated into a mobile game on BNB Chain** — helping bring even more attention to the Splinterlands universe.
