The Beautiful and Calm Northern Beach

Back to northern Bali where I spent a couple of days with my family. I stayed in my parents in law's house with my wife and my kids. One day I suggested them to go to the beach in Banyu Poh village, not far from where we stayed.

Near sunset time we went to the beach. It was a special treat for my children. They were very excited because we hadn't been to the beach for a long time.

The beach is located just a few hundred meters from the main street. There was no direct road to get there, but there is a grass field where some cows munched some grass. I drove my car passing the cow s to get closer to the sand.

It was quite relaxing to be there, seeing the sky and the water. After stopping the car, we (my family and I) rushed toward the black sand beach. The water was on high tide, there some dirt brought to the beach by the water. We did not mind at all.

We just plunged ourselves into the water. The children were playing, and the adults were having some conversation. I took some photos of them.

To the eastern side, I could see the hill of Gondol. I have seen that hill a lot when driving on the road, but never actually went there. One day I will go there and will take photos from to of the hill. It should be a nice view from there.

To the west side, the sun has disappeared somewhere in the sky. We could still see its orange rays on the thick gathering clouds.

When the evening came and the sky got darker, we went back to the shore. We had to "drag" the kids (my son and his cousins) off the water because they did not want to stop playing and swimming.

After everybody got out of the water, we had some cakes and drinking water from the car. Time for a picnic. We ate the cakes while the cows checking upon us.

Finally we packed up and started driving back home. On the way, my son asked me a million-dollar question, "Can we go to the beach tomorrow again?"
