*All my life I have never been a fan of chains and rings. Honestly, i didn’t see these accessories as something meant for guys, especially that particular item they call chain, i think rings are a bit better compared to chains, i have seen a couple of masculine rings and i think it’s nice but it’s not just for me. I saw accessories like rings and chains as something meant only for the feminine gender, but as time went by i started seeing these same accessories on my gender, some of them have now started wearing **leg chains**, which is a bit odd if i’m to be sincere. Rings and chains might not have been my thing but that one particular thing i have always loved and cherished all my life has been a **WRISTWATCH**…*

*My love wristwatches and wristbands is not that of this planet. I remember when i was still an high schooler many years ago, no term would go by without me buying a new wristwatch, I never hesitate to get myself a new watch whenever i am out getting my school supplies, that is to tell you how much i love it. My all time favorite wristwatch is the **G-SHOCK** brand. I started my wristwatch collection with the G-shock brand and as time went on i started exploring other brands until i graduated high school…*

*I graduated high school and my love for watches went down the drain, for no reason i just stopped wearing it and started wearing bracelets and bands, this is not a fund related issue. I just wasn’t interested in it anymore because back then there was no major outing that requires the use of a watch, so my love for it just came to a halt…*

*I think 2-3 years ago my partner reignited my love for wristwatch again, and that was when she bought me a wristwatch as a birthday gift, it was a chain wristwatch this time around, looks more mature and manly, and seeing as i was no longer a kid i decided to start wearing chain watches. That was how i graduated from fake G-shocks to chain watches…*

*I thought the watch i got from my girlfriend as a gift would last till eternity, only for me to lose it after a couple of months while on an errand. I was on a bike running an errand for my boss when the hook got loose and it fell on the tarred road, before i could stop the bike-man to go pick it up, it got crushed by a car coming behind us and that was how i lost it. I stopped wearing watches again after that incident and decided to focus more on my casual bracelets…*

*I haven’t had any wrist watch on in the last three years. I gained admission into the tertiary institution a couple of months ago and it kind of struck me that i needed to get myself a new wrist watch because i am back to being a student once again, which makes watch a requirement…*

*All these were just running through my head. I still didn’t take any action towards getting a new watch, whenever i see my friend on wrist watch or i see someone putting it on, i just can’t help but think out loud my desire to get one…*

*I finally made up my mind to get one for myself on my birthday. I wanted to get it for myself as a birthday present until i got surprised by someone very crazily special to me 😂, if she were to read this right now, she would have said something like; **I am not special to anyone oh😂**, she is that crazy 😂 but unique though…*

*I and one of our mutual friend, the three of us were together that day when she suddenly presented this to me days after my birthday, honestly I could only imagine what was there but never did i think i would get such a big gift from anyone in my school. She presented it to me in a joking manner and said it was mine, i looked at it and the unserious me opened the box and saw a chain wristwatch…*

*Honestly, i wasn’t myself for some time because i was still shocked, our friend was just laughing 😂, like it was just too good to be true, i didn’t even know what to say at that moment. I would have done something crazy if i didn’t control myself 😂 but then again i realized i wasn’t dreaming and that the wristwatch was real. There you have it guys, i now have a wristwatch but then i still plan to get one more from my own pocket…*
