*I think the economic situation of my country is slowly getting to me, when i say it's slowly getting to me, i meant it has started affecting my mental health gradually. I know this might sound weird and awkward but what i just stated above is the raw fact. The last couple of days now has been filled with countless dreams about the crazy inflation in the prices of goods and services of the country...*


*I woke up much earlier than usual this morning and couldn't resist the urge to jump right in here to share my inner most worries with you all. I know facing economic crisis and slight challenges is normal for every country to experience it's required growth and development in the near future, but my country on the other hand says otherwise as everything is going from bad to worse each and every day...*

*Now i am beginning to doubt if there is any hope left for we the masses, we have been enduring this for many years now, do we have to keep enduring or should we take actions, the funniest thing is that there's nothing we can do than to never stop praying for the betterment of both the economy and our leaders themselves...*

*I have been a proud citizen of this country for more than 2 decades now, and from my mouth most days comes out prayers of betterment for my country but it seems our leaders have decided to make betterment a wishful thinking for us the masses, there's is no progress even with so many resources at our disposal...*

*When it comes to the prices of goods in my country, whatever goes up as a result of inflation rate never comes down for any reason, which means it automatically get enacted forever and there is no going back to the initial prices when the factor responsible for the inflation has been resolved...*

*My question right now is that; **is my country the only one this way or it is same in other countries out there?**, what goes up here and never comes down in my country right now is **the price of goods**...*

*This inflation has even gone from goods to services. The people rendering services to other people are now charging higher than usual because of this same inflation, when you try to cut down the price a little bit, their response to your plea is **everything is now cost** and the fact is that they are very true because other traders have increased the prices of their goods, thus making it hard for those who render home services to other people...*

*I will be sharing a brief example to get you to understand my whole point of this topic quite well;*

*Take for instance, **when dollar rate skyrocketed to 2 thousand naira per dollar, the whole economy turned into turmoil because of this and as a result of this, traders and other service renderers began to increase the prices of their goods and services, for example egg was #120, one spaghetti was #600, rice was around #800 per derika before the increment in dollar rate, immediately the whole world heard that dollar is now 2k per dollar they hiked the prices of their goods. Egg became #150, spaghetti became #850, rice skyrocketed to #1200 or more per derika, 1 kg of gas flew from #700 to #1100 and then to #1400 now**, all this happened when dollar flew to two thousand naira per dollar...*

*The hike in the prices of goods was hard to accept at that time because it was sudden, and we also understood dollar skyrocketed to 2k, we kept buying in pains hoping that when dollar comes crashing down a bit, traders will go back to the initial price and we will be good and fine once again...*

*Guess what guys, **dollar is now one thousand three hundred naira per dollar and the prices of these goods which has skyrocketed refused to come down. In summary, there is no difference between when it was 2k and 1.3k**, the funniest thing is that i am sure if dollar moves to two thousand three hundred naira per dollar today, traders and service renderers will increase their prices immediately as a result of the dollar rate, and when it comes crashing down to one thousand five hundred naira per dollar later, they will refuse to go back to the initial price as it was**...*

*This is totally wrong, everything is meant to be fair and balanced but over here it is otherwise, goods and services are getting pricier every day and salary earners are not getting any salary increment from their respective organizations. Meanwhile, the cost of everything which includes living is now very high and expensive...*

*In conclusion, there is need for immediate intervention from the government before the economy crashes down a little bit more and people are forced to do the extreme, i won't lie lol, i am just so tired and angry at the economy right now as everything is just so expensive down to goodies and biscuits, there's need for immediate intervention...*

*Imagine buying something for #1 today and the next day you go to the market, you see it at #10 from the same store and when you ask why, you ear something like this; **dollar ti waan**, meaning dollar is now expensive lol. We need to do better honestly...*
