⚔️***MYCELIC MORPHOID***⚔️ is a Common Card that belongs to the Element of EARTH. It's a 1 melee attack card with a decent Health of 2, 2-speed points and the mana cost is only 1. It is a decent card in terms of the link between stats and mana cost when it comes to computation of its stats. For 1 mana point, it does provide a decent options of use, especially in a low mana battle. It's flaw is that it lacks any kind of ability at level 1 and Level 2, but, at level 3 to level 10 it possesses the Thorn ability and that when the card gets interesting. At it's maximum level, It's melee attack becomes 2, health 3 and speed 3.

Knowing that the ⚔️***MYCELIC MORPHOID***⚔️ has a melee attack, one can only think of two uses;

1. Can be uses as a tiny tank to protect the main tank from the first or second enemy attack. It's low health will make it hard for the ⚔️***MYCELIC MORPHOID***⚔️ to survive the opponent's first attack as can be seen in my [**BATTLE 3**](https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sl_6a07dd3acf38e358e1007334052984ea&ref=dqueenstarr) when I placed the card in second line, it did not survive the enemies attack and quickly killed in first round. 

1. Can be placed in the 3rd or fifth line-up to defend the last card from the opponent's cards, as seen in my current battle. In my opinion ⚔️***MYCELIC MORPHOID***⚔️ is a card that adds nothing else to the game save these two purposes.

To be fair, leveling up the ⚔️***MYCELIC MORPHOID***⚔️ card to it's maximum can go along way in it's use, other than that, It is a card that will only be utilized occasionally, like in Bronze leagues, it fades away in use as one goes higher up. It's one of those cards you'll find in the early stages of the game but then soon forgotten as one goes higher in level and rating.

This was a whooping 99 mana cost battle, I used the **OBSIDIAN** as my summoner that gave an extra magic point to all my monsters. It was a standard game having no changes to the ruleset and every type of splinter was allowed in the battle.

**OBSIDIAN** is my favorite Earth summoner, particularly for a simple ruleset. There are better earth summoners, such as *SCARRED LLAMA MAGE* and *PRINCE RENNYN*, but I don't have them and renting them is currently prohibitively expensive.

##### ***STRATEGY***: 
The **UNICORN MUSTANG** was set at the beginning. It's a big 8 mana cost with 3-melee attacks, 4-speed and 10-health, but the best part is that it has the *void* to reduce damage from magic attack. It does alot of damage to the enemies weakest Link.

The **VENARI KNIFER** was next, a 6 mana cost unit employed solely for maximum damage back at the attacker. This card I love alot and use regularly. It can take a decent number of blows if you're lucky, and I employed it only for that purpose, as an attacking unit.

Next came the team card ⚔️***MYCELIC MORPHOID***⚔️. Despite the fact that it has no abilities at level 1 & 2, cause that's what I had. it still is a helpful card. I felt connected to the card and didn't want it to die too soon in battle😁.

On my fourth position, **GOBLIN PSYCHIC**, a true tank healer and a powerful magic attack monster. I needed him because I had Unicorn mustang in front-line|

For it's Flying ability, I placed **REGAL PERYTON** in fifth. A true mage and most wanted for it's speed and health.

##### ***STRATEGY***: 

For it's Taunt ability, I placed **MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN** last. It's got a 9 mana cost, massive 10health and it's ability makes enemies attack it If they can. It was worth the addition.

As you can see from my lineup, I tried to balance the Tanks and Damage monsters for best battle outcome.

# ⚔️ROUND 1⚔️

- Enemy used the Fire element with TARSA as Summoner, DISINTEGRATOR in first position, LIVING LAVA in second, DJINN APPRENTICE in third, TENYII STRIKER in fourth and MANTOID in last position.

- Round 1 started with +1 magic damage by summoner OBSIDIAN to the monsters.
- UNICORN MUSTANG and REGAL PERYTON take turns to dis-armoring and striking DISINTEGRATOR.
- Round ends with DISINTEGRATOR killed and my theme card ***MYCELIC MORPHOID*** still in battle.

- Round 2 begins and my team are now under intense attack with **MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN** now killed by  DJINN APPRENTICE.

- Round 2 ends with Tank heal to UNICORN MUSTANG and LIVING LAVA enemies now front monster killed by GOBLIN PSYCHIC.

# ⚔️ROUND 3⚔️

- Round 3 begins with my Monster having the upper hand and carries on to attack the enemies now front line monster DJINN APPRENTICE by my monsters UNICORN MUSTANG and REGAL PERYTON. They make a fantastic pair in battle.

- Round 4 and my Monster in complete control of battle easily takes out the troubler TENYII STRIKER. GOBLIN PSYCHIC a massive help and UNICORN MUSTANG being revived every round. What a battle😍

- To be fair a round 5 wasn't needed as MANTOID was no match for my team. QED! A single strike from UNICORN MUSTANG and dead goes my enemies last standing monster. ⚔️***MYCELIC MORPHOID***⚔️ stands untouchable😄

Yes, my strategy worked very well. I could have changed the order of cards, **MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN** could have come before **VENARI KNIFER**. Other than that I think it is a nice lineup and strategy for mid-range mana battles and Max-ranged such as this one⚔️

I'm undecided as to whether I like it or not. It's a good card, but you can get the same stats plus a great ability for the same price. Though I can repeat what i said earlier that the theme card does come in handy at max-level and in low mana battles.

The battle was truly exciting to watch and I will keep seeking more ways to engage the ⚔️***MYCELIC MORPHOID***⚔️ Monster and also upgrade it to level 10.
