The ***🍃`GRUND`🍃*** is a dangerous <u>Melee</u> attack card, and it is part of the <u>Earth Splinter</u>. It costs 10-mana to use in battle , as a result, it will be an excellent card for both mid & high mana ruleset battles.
Let us now delve deep into this monsters to discover what makes him formidable. I am using a <u>level 5 regular foil</u> and he has a <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/AJkRW5z9UDWGqKLN2rkAV19JVeFqLV82xKuQGdjk12kMXCCAtdERAhfs8wyjYa1.png"><u>4-Melee</u>, <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/AKNHMVM8Q6nEGifSZv9sjWR8cUcK1YW1QELj2VKBrkyj8vd3e2m9JiGuBvQeEth.png"><u>3-speed</u>, and <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/AKLrkTfgFdsnVMa1QrPqopizdzfHZdBSejAE3fHSHtKQBBquq8USCABtVYF5sNG.png"><u>13-health</u>.
Okay so apologies for the ~~Grumpy, Dangerous monster~~ bait, but you must admit that upon seeing the card, you'd imagine the worse about this monster ***🍃`GRUND`🍃*** who has spent all his life in the lowlands of Praetoria? This monster is no terrible monster at all, actually he is a people lover😁.
**<pre>TRAMPLE ABILITY - When in battle, it targets and kills the enemy, then goes on to do perform another attack on next enemy monster.</pre>**
**<pre>DOUBLE STRIKE ability- When in battle, he is able to attack twice each round.</pre>**
***🍃`GRUND`🍃*** is territorial and would give up his life in battle to protect the Land and people he loves.
He learnt and quickly mastered the blade work causing him to become obsessed with the art of armed combat and practicing with any weapon he could get his hands on. He has a huge Health tank, ever hungry for battle. A favourable position for him will be in the front, i.e. all rulesets being equal.

At <u>level 1</u>, He has 3-melee attack at 3-speed, 0-defense, 10-health, and the ***`Double Strike ability`***. ***🍃`GRUND's`🍃*** physical Melee and Health point makes this card extremely difficult for enemy melee and range monsters to kill even at this level.
<u>**level 5**</u> this card gains 4-melee attacks at 3-speed, 0-defense and 12-health, as well as another ability, the ***`Trample ability`***. This ability is awesome on the battle ground where the ruleset is **`STAMPEDE`**, and I always make sure to add a monster with it in lineup.
At Max <u>**level 6,**</u> however, this card has 4-melee attacks at 3-speed, 0-defense and 13-health, plus gains another power, the ***`Cripple ability`***. At max level, this card can perform exceptionally well, bloody hell for a stat. ***🍃`GRUND`🍃*** becomes very useful in battle at this level.

This ability is so deadly that when monsters with it are attacked by melee attackers, it does damage back to the attacker. The awesome fact about this summoner is that, he gives the thorns ability to all monsters on his team, making them even more fierce.

Summoner Mylor Crowling is Anti-Melee, hence, he is particularly effective when you envisage your enemy to come at you with Melee Attack. ***`🍃GRUND🍃`*** already has two abilities, why not make it totally formidable by having an extra **`Thorn`**? it will greatly be of help seeing it's in first position and face to face with a Melee attacker.

It is the spot light card for the week and even though not a perfect fit this an Earthquake ruleset, I am banking on his high health to weather then earthquake and secure the victory. I also envisage my enemies to come at me with alot of Melees, hence this card will suit well to fight and outlast them all in battle.

***RUNEMANCER FLORRE*** is a legendary warrior with a heart of gold. Once almost died saving elves from the hands of wicked forest bandits. she got saved by the Riftwatchers who used their runic healers to revive her back.
This cards attack type is <u>Magic</u>, a Legendary card and it is part of the <u>Earth unit</u>. It also cost absolutely 13-mana to use in battle , as a result, it will be an excellent card for all high mana battles.

I picked **RUNEMANCER FLORRE** even though she has no abilities of her own, she however has impressive mastery of Magic and accurate range attacks. Her speed and health tank is unmatched. She would also serve as a distraction so ***`🍃GRUND🍃`*** can last longer in battle.

In third position comes the formidable card **PELACOR MERCENARY.** A true regenerative tank healer and a powerful Melee warrior. His <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/AKDgdWUCY1u56Vq4tQTEnD5Bqm29dUdhHX9hhXfi1LcR6RGWtaspNzzoamb4ujD.png">**`Heal ability`** allows him to restore or regenerate a portion of his health each round. Whereas he <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/AK9NHtqr6BJk6vNMZtW2m3bbZ4s7PpQP9eeZTMNhaGcT4NH3piQtXbqg17WBjji.png"> **`Flying ability`** to fly over enemies with non-flying ability and fiercely attack them.

I picked **PELACOR MERCENARY** because of his Healing ability which will really prove worthy when peered with ***🍃`GRUND`🍃*** should incase he is killed [hopefully not😅].

Next comes ***MUSHROOM SEER*** who spreads maddening spores everywhere his goes and very well dreaded in battle. This seer <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/23wg927dYGFcdEmbubqsmomYqePYHvmWd6vj6vN3NjAsAKcTuLJhZefG6r6quzDDJyYFD.png">**`Silences`** all magic enemies by reducing magic attacks, and finally <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/23wMPdgEUdWujtoVqZNm79MH5Qee5Tz1ZGQoHfQFejPLdm7sjdAiysmoeh27R5TLcMXi1.png">**`Poisons`** them which does automatic damage to the enemies at the start of each round once applied. A 6-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rare warrior who has demonstrated it's prowess.

I picked ***MUSHROOM SEER*** because of it's Silence and Poison abilities. It will reduce magic of enemies and destroy their health at start of each round in battle.

I picked ***SCREECHING*** because of Scavenging ability. Placing it in backline will be perfect as it is also an accurate opportunist attacker who never misses it's target.

***SPIRIT OF THE FOREST*** can only be summoned to battle by a skilled summoner like **MYLOR CROWLING**. A 3-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️ warrior who has demonstrated her prowess. Her <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/AK9NHtqr6BJk6vNMZtW2m3bbZ4s7PpQP9eeZTMNhaGcT4NH3piQtXbqg17WBjji.png">**`Flying ability`** attacks non-flying enemies fiercely and using her <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/23wgCxBw27fHi4pbQ4wq7vA48ZQJGMMn5YW7xFkrqqEAs4SfKCDfHkyL4hbffsRbmnyRE.png">**`Snipe ability`** targets ranged, magic and enemies monsters without an attack type who aren't in first line. Her ability works well to <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/AKCF6CXr6ZBsxeWscbESFzqEi8QeUfGAewHSvE8V7MYbJW6N9giCMhR4DWAASmX.png">**`Protect ability`** her team by giving them double armor, whereas, her <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/AKCEzSBD2nyvKpa46S13i2R9jX2kobv4Qhh7h3subJxFzLfEaS2HSuzC5x427mn.png">**`Tank heal ability`** will help restore the health of front-line team monster each round.
This cards attack type is <u>Ranged</u>, a Legendary card and she is part of the <u>Earth unit</u>.

##### 👉**`WHY I PICKED SPIRIT OF THE FOREST`**
I picked ***SPIRIT OF THE FOREST*** because of her Tank heal and protect abilities which will go on well to protect and boost back ***🍃`GRUNDS'`🍃*** . Placing her in backline will be perfect as she is also an accurate ranged attacker who never misses her target.
Without further ado, let us now enter the battleground.

# ⚔️BATTLE ROUND⚔️

The Enemy came at me with the Earth element as well, *OBSIDIAN* as Summoner. *Enemy-PELACOR MERENARY* in first position, Enemy-REGAL PERYTON in second position, Enemy-MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN in third position, Enemy-QUEEN MYCELIA in fourth position, *Enemy-GOBLIN PYSCHIC* in fifth position and finally *Enemy-GARGOYA DEVIL* in last position.
I honestly gave up when I saw who my opponent's lineup I mean, what in the dreaded monster are those? coming with a gun to knife fight🔫
Well I was hoping my analysis wasn't a totally blunder as I felt weak already, so Let's see what happened.

- Summoner ***MYLOR CROWLING*** gave all team monster the ***`THORN`*** ability as expected.
- ***MUSHROOM SEER*** **`Silences`** all enemy monsters, and ENEMY-GOBLIN PYSCHIC returns the favor.
- *SPIRIT OF THE FOREST* *`Protects* all my team monsters.
<center>**`The battle looked fierce & seemed I might be aswell dead before battle even begins`**</center>
- *ENEMY-REGAL PERYT* launches first deadly spell on ***🍃`GRUND`🍃*** but his damaged health get's restored by **SPIRIT OF THE FOREST**.
- **SPIRIT OF THE FOREST** , **REUNEMANCER FLORRE** and **SCREENCHING VULTURE** focus their attack in the taunt monster *ENEMY-MYCELIC SPLISPAWN* to eliminate it.
- *ENEMY-PELACOR MERCENARY* attacks the ***🍃`GRUND`🍃***, damaging it's health. All Enemy monsters take a turn at him to kill. ***🍃`GRUND`🍃*** fights back attack from all enemy monsters, holding down the fort.
<center>**`There's an Earthquake, things are not looking great for Grund as he is down to 1 health point`😥**</center>
- *ENEMY-REGAL PERYTON* targets deadly spell and immediately kills the ***🍃`GRUND`🍃***. I mean, theme card is dead, end of battle.
<center>**`The opponent came out for Blood. The rest of monsters charge forward for battle, not backing down, victory must be secured, GRUND did not die in vain`**</center>
- ***RUNEMANCER FLORRE*** fights her best fight, but the enemy assault was too strong and *ENEMY-PELACOR MERCENARY* killed her.
- Immediately **SCREECHING VULTURE**, swoops in, targets and kills *ENEMY-QUEEN MYCELIA* and again targets and kills *ENEMY-GOBLIN PYCHIC*.
- Enemy relentless, targets and kills my team monster **PELACOR MERCENARY** after a tough fight, holding down front line.
- **SPIRIT OF THE FOREST** has had enough of the brutally, swoops in and kills *ENEMY-REGAL PERYTON*.
- Immediately **SCREECHING VULTURE**, swoops in, targets and kills *ENEMY-PELACOR MERCENARY* and again targets and kills last standing enemy monster *ENEMY-GARGOYA DEVIL*.

To be honest I do not think I like this card ***🍃`GRUND`🍃***, or let's say, I wasn't fortunate to be given a ruleset that suits it's abilities like the **`Trample`**. The whole 3-4 day of battling, i kept faced with rulesets that was at some point upsetting or didn't just sink it. I still have a lot to learn about properly using this Card and with time, i will get a hang of it. Watching and learning from players who succeeded in keeping this card alive the whole rounds will be great.
***🍃`GRUND`🍃*** sure has Impressive abilities. The decent 10 mana cost, unmatched 4-melee, 12-health and 3-speeds points are it's strongest features. It is very helpful as a front defense in battle with mid to high-mana limits. When placed in front-line and backed by supporting monsters such as in this battle, it is able to cause great damage before even being killed.
To be fair, I am glad to have experienced it's abilities, and would keep making use of in Earth splinter. It has pretty awesome Melee and health, that's already a slam dunk. This only demonstrates that if you play the Earth splinter and at decent mana cap, then this is a card to have on deck.
In summary the battles were exciting to watch and I will keep seeking more ways to buy and max the card.

Yes, my strategy worked very well. It was a good lineup and strategy for this battle⚔️
***🍃`GRUND`🍃*** Ideally can be placed in first position. True that it's tank is huge enough for resistance, I want this Double strike and possibly trample ability holding off my enemies for a long a possible. If you add monsters with interesting abilities as support, then it will be more difficult to target and kill it.
- From this battle and my observations. These abilities will greatly help ***🍃`GRUND`🍃*** and make him undefeatable in battle.
a) The ***THORN*** <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/23wWnsk6bhpUzWYEzab9HfJ44z1y38Ydyf1mJCZam5rWC5xej83cNE1Frwe69tnKYfbfW.png"> ability which when hit with a melee attack, does back damage to the enemy thereby weakening the enemy and <u>***MYLOR CROWLING***</u> offers that to all team monsters at only <u>***3 mana***.</u>
b) The ***TANK HEAL*** <img src="https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/queenstarr/AKCEzSBD2nyvKpa46S13i2R9jX2kobv4Qhh7h3subJxFzLfEaS2HSuzC5x427mn.png"> ability which restores a portion health of the front-line monster each round. Cards like <u>***SPIRIT OF THE FOREST***</u> offers that.</u>
C) **STAMPEDE RULESET** is strongly for ***🍃`GRUND`🍃***.
- 👆Having Monsters that offer these 2 abilities on deck and with proper ruleset will make it almost impossible to kill ***🍃`GRUND`🍃*** in front-line of battle, ensuring you Victory 65%. ***🍃`GRUND`🍃*** is no doubt a decent card.
