## Subscription fee decrease

With the low prices of steem we have decided to decrease the subscription rates of Tier 1 and Tier 2 by 20%. This change could only be temporary since the price of steem is so low. We will announce any other changes and adjust as necesarry to ensure it is profitable for those who upgrade to higher tiers.



The new rates starting August 1st will be:

> Tier 1 = 0.8 Steem
> Tier 2 = 1.6 Steem



@qurator-tier-1-2 is going through some delegation changes as well, currently it will be around 26K SP and next week back to around 30K.  We will be increasing the Voting Weight a bit this week to adjust for the lower SP.

## Some slight adjustments to help with insufficient upvotes and the current low prices. 

With our current model of:


- $0.03 x 7 = Tier 1 (or 100% upvotes if you don't have a $0.03 upvote yet) 
- $0.05 x 7 = Tier 2

Sometimes autovoters miss a vote or 2 and you may drop to a lower tier because you got 5 or 6 votes. 
The lower price might also play a role as upvote values decrease. 

##  The solution:

Let the value of the upvotes add up, that way you can still reach your higher tier even if you did not upvote 7 times. 
Members with smaller upvotes can also reach higher tiers now by upvoting more posts as the upvote value will be added together. Not enough posts? We are working on a solution for this and will be posting Qurator stats and info from  our @qurator-tier-1-2. The upvotes on those posts will also be counted towards your tiers.  


## So yes, if you have the extra Voting Power go and upvote the @qurator-tier-1-2 posts, this will also count towards your upvote counts for Tiers.

We send out daily upvotes to all our Qurites if they post, but if they show some participation or invest in @qurator we feel they deserve some better rewards from @qurator. That's where Tiers come in. Below you will find all the members of @qurator and their respective tiers.

# Subscription Details: 

We are currently accepting the Steem for the monthly subscriptions (a more detailed post will be featured this week). 

Send Steem for Tier 1 and 2 to @qurator with this memo: 

For Tier 1 : 0.8 Steem - memo `SUB 1 AUG`
For Tier 2 : 1.6 Steem - memo `SUB 2 AUG`

Paying in advance:

Multiply the fee for the Tier you want by the amount of months and send in one transfer:
Example: 
- for 3 months on T2: send 4.8 steem - memo: SUB 2 OCT
- for 2 months on T1: send 1.6 steem - memo: SUB 1 SEP

Upvote 7 times a week on any @qurator posts with a minimum upvote of at least $0.03 **OR** pay  1 Steem per month subscription **OR** upvote enough @qurator/@qurator-tier-0 posts to reach a value of $0.21 for the week. 

### - Tier 2



Upvote 7 times a week on any @qurator posts with a minimum upvote of at least $0.05 **OR** pay the 2 Steem per month subscription **OR** upvote enough @qurator/@qurator-tier-0 posts to reach a value of $0.35 for the week.

### What about all the members who don't have a $0.03 upvote yet?

We have not forgotten about our minnows and we will still be offering a higher tier if they choose to support Qurator. 

> Upvote a minimum of 7 posts per week at 100% and still get placed in Tier 1 instead of Tier 0. 

This way everyone has the option to go the upvote or subscription route for higher Tiers. 

## Everything else still stays the same, Tiers still stack with delegations and you can still access T1 and T2 for 100 and 200 SP delegations. 

*Note: You can stack to Tier 2 if your upvote is currently worth $0.03 (T1) and you pay the 1 steem (T1)*  **ie: T1 + T1 = T2**

## New member bonus!

Since new members pay the 4 Steem registration fee, we will be offering them T2 membership for a full month to enjoy upon registration. This should help them get some of the funds back from what they spent for the registration fee.

## Qurator Selfvote 

<br>

Our account is now big enough that a selfvote will make a big difference in the long run. Most of our profits go towards leases and our members.  With our selfvote and we can show extra support later on to all our members. We will do the upvotes near the end of our post payout to ensure all our members upvoting us will get some extra curation in. ;) 

## Mutual Project support 

<br>

We have formed and alliance with the Silver Gold Community. @silvergoldbotty will be upvoting one @qurator post a day and we will be upvoting one @silvergoldbotty post a day. The reasoning behind it is that we will be able to generate more SBD per week and with more SBD we will be able to better keep up with our leases as well getting some new ones. Thus, even though the voting weight will decrease the actual value of the votes will increase since we will have more SP later on. =) 

If this goes well we will look into mutual support between other projects as well.
