That's it. And it's true to its every sense. 

Down on confidence? Get ready to be fooled by anyone around, regardless of gender or age. 

Forget about being overconfident. It's not suggested but having a minimum level of confidence in oneself can save you from many unexpected situations. 

Let me share a story; a true one.

Last Saturday, I went to someplace to initiate my driving licence procedure. Although the initiative was taken two months back, it was the second phase. 

Out of fear of failure, I contracted with someone close to BRTA officials to save me from the hassles. I thought I would never pass the test and consequently, my licence will not be issued legally. 

So, my expectation was sky-high; like, I won't have to do anything but face the officials for some silly matters. That was promised by the man I hired though. 

This is where I made the first mistake. I never asked myself why wouldn't I pass the exams? The JUJU pushed into my brain by all eunuchs out there made me a eunuch; apparently. Provoked by their words, suddenly, I lost my confidence in driving. Like them, I started thinking no matter how good I drive, I can never pass the field test. But I am a good driver, voted by ME(!).

Okay, on the day, I went there. Waited in the queue, attended the written exam; the first one out of three.

Successfully passed and signed, attended the next exam; the verbal one. 

Answered successfully the questions asked by officials. Passed and signed once again.

Now, the final one; the field test where drivers have to drive through zigzag and narrow spaces marked by some flags. Set your foot on the earth or touch any of the flags during the test and you are disqualified. 

I was really nervous as the bike I was given to drive is really weird. Poor brake, almost fully dysfunctional clutch, and relatively high from the ground. 

But there's nothing to do.

One thing to note, unfortunately, the Magistrate of that circle was present in the day making it difficult for the "helping hands" to help anyone out or taking any illegal means to sign someone's paper as passed.

Anyway, I did it. I crossed all the marked areas twice without touching the ground or flags. 

Now, I came to a realisation of how stupid I am; not following my gut and offering a total of 8K for the licence all while attending the exams and passing them successfully without any help. The government fee for the paper is around 3200BDT or something like that. So, I have spent the rest straight out of my ignorance. 

But, yes, I have my lesson. It took almost 5K to learn how important "confidence" is to anyone.

If I was confident back then, I wouldn't have to be this stupid. A real loser I am feeling now.
