## Splinterland's: It's still tip of the iceberg.


With recent interest of so many players in [Splinterland's](https://splinterlands.com?ref=r1s2g3), Splinterland's card prices are shooting towards the moon and renting out their cards has become so much lucrative option for many player to earn a very decent income without even trying to play.

But there is question in minds of many about is that there cards are in all time high? Is current marketcap is some kind of all time high ? Most importantly is it time to book profits in this game?

It is no doubt that few of the cards are so "rare" that their so less copies in circulation that the users who are owning them have put them in market for "nice chunk" of money. Basically these cards are giving up a nice push to the market but in same time it showcase that other owners of these card also have no intentions to part with their card, so they are not willing undercut or sell their card.


Let see , how the Splinterland's marketcap evolved

Looking at this chart ,you will notice a "J" ,a strong ,vertical jump in marketcap , but if you see closely that even with this J , marketcap is sitting on 140 million USD.
140 million USD is significant amount but if you [consider this report](https://www.gamesindustry.biz/articles/2021-01-06-digital-games-spending-reached-USD127-billion-in-2020) then you will see that Digital gaming industry has now grossing more than $127 Billion USD and some of the top titles are grossing more then a billion dollar in year.


## Blockchain gaming is to bring revolution.
In current digital gaming, players cannot sell their game assets/accounts to other player. In most cases whatever they spent in game is turned to 0 value and most of spending is purely on leisure basis.
Play2Earn and blockchain gaming will merge both leisure market + "play2earn" market and I guess it will surpass the figure of 127 Billion with huge margin.
I really feel at that time game like Splinterlands will be much more advanced and will be flagship game on whole Digital/online gaming world.
At that time [Splinterland's](https://splinterlands.com?ref=r1s2g3) will be grossing multi Billion dollars in a year and this revenue will be getting distributed to all the stakeholders of game ,from developers to the player.
I do not feel it will be too slow, as talks of crypto has now started to come in mainstream news, I feel the whole landscape will be changed in next 3-5 years.

## Keep your cards and SL asset intact.
I personally feel that one should keep playing Splinterlnd's instead of exiting the game, thinking that it is the highest potential.
I feel what we see currentlyin splinterlnd's is just like a tip of the iceberg and whole potential will be unearthed in next coming few years.
So I feel keep playing and keeping you Splinterland's asset with a long term view will be a nice strategy.
