<strong>Sabemos que nuestra atención está dirigida a los juegos de grandes ligas, pero en los actuales momentos en Venezuela se está jugando la liga mayor de béisbol (LMBP) desde el mes mayo hasta agosto (42 juegos) está conformada por 8 equipos: Caciques de Distrito, Centauros de la Guaira, Delfines de la Guaira, Guerreros de Lara, Líderes de Miranda, Marineros de Carabobo, Samanes de Aragua y Senadores de Caracas.</strong>

<strong>Esta liga fue creada en el 2021 con la finalidad de darles acción a todos esos peloteros que no pudieron conseguir contrato fuera de Venezuela y darle una vitrina a todos los prospectos que vienen en ascenso. No crean que esta liga no tiene nivel, cuando vemos la nómina de peloteros nacionales y extranjeros que tienen, nos damos cuenta de que en su momento estuvieron buen nivel en las grandes ligas, y que podemos decir de los managers, nos podemos conseguir con nombres como Carlos García ex manager campeón con los Navegantes del Magallanes, Víctor Garate manager de los Leones del Caracas las dos últimas temporadas, Luis Sojo manager con gerentes equipos del béisbol profesional y fuera de Venezuela.

<strong>La junta directiva está buscando en esta 3.ª temporada que lleva la liga que se convierta en la antesala del béisbol profesional donde los peloteros lleguen en plena condiciones y se pueda consolidar, para ello la entrada a los juegos es completamente gratis para que los fanáticos puedan asistir y apoyar a los equipos, los estadios son el universitario en caracas, La guaira, Maracay y Valencia con juegos toda la semana, también cuenta con la transmisión televisiva de algunos canales regionales y redes sociales.

Ya en el pasado (1990) se había creado la liga de verano, la cual a los pocos años desapareció, aunque algunos equipos pasaron a la liga profesional, como fue el caso de Pastora de los llanos, que se convirtió en Bravos de Margarita.
