In 2075 a new idea was presented that was supposed to improve our lives and to make sure that our community was safe from any potential disasters that would eradicate humanity - our bond with technology, and its integration in our own bodies.

That, obviously, wasn't received well, and while most people accepted the new idea as being a must, a lot of them rejected it and left.

Shortly after, a war began, against those who wanted technology to disappear, and those who wanted to integrate it into our lives. Those against technology were quickly called terrorists.

After years of war, terrorists were finally eliminated. The Earth however, was left damaged, and all the nuclear bombs that were used almost eliminated humanity completely.

Jax however, our commander, and one of the few survivors, decided to take control and remake humanity what it once was. He gathered the survivors he could, and little by little he created The Community, a city where survivors and people who desired peace could live, protected by walls and military forces.

Technology was recuperated and recreated, and finally, introduced in our lives. It wasn't long before everyone realized how good that would be. Technology made everything easier, and a lot safer. There were still incidents, here and there, crimes and illegalities, but they were ignored. We had bigger problems.

That until one day, when we realize that our ignorance almost destroyed everything - someone attacked our leader, Jax. We didn't know who, or what at the time. It happened between the main palace's walls, right under the noses of our guards.

Jax escaped, but quickly after the attack, he realized who was, or better said, were, the ones behind the attack - terrorists. Obviously, some of them survived, and if that wasn't enough, they were using the same technology that was used years ago to eliminate them - Snapshot.

Snapshot was the invention of a mad genius who thought that the best way to destroy terrorists was the be amongs them, without them knowing. So he invented a technology that, when used, would create a forcefield around the user that would replicate reality.

The technology worked, and while we thought it destroyed in the war, it appears we were wrong. Jax was one of the few who knew about it, being part of the military forces tasked with eliminating terrorism, but others had the same knowledge.

Lucky for us, Jax knew about the potential risks Snapshot could present to us, to everyone, and he knew how easily it could be recreated. As he built The Community, our city, he also created us - a special team formed of people who were part of the old war, who knew what Snapshot was and how it worked. We had one job - prevent Snapshot from ever being recreated and used against The Community.

We failed our task but were summoned the next day after the attacked, and tasked with finding whoever tried to kill Jax. Our orders were clear - take no hostages. And that was just what I was looking for.

You see, while Snapshot is, in theory, a flawless technology, it has one big flaw that only few people can take advantage of - it can replicate the environment around it, but it cannot replicate the most important part of that environment - the life that was once there.

Those of us who used Snapshot in the old war knew how to detect it if it was ever used against us. When around a Snapshot user, a normal person sees nothing different, but a monotone environment filled with boring details. We however, see a big ball of nothing. Life is stripped from that illusion, and thus, we know to eliminate that void of nothingness.

It was time for us to finish this once and for all, and to eliminate everything that was going against The Community. If we are to survive, order and discipline must be the only things that rule our life. Rebellion is not permitted.
